Hey Trailraider,

I picked one of these up at the OBT Coffs auction a few years back. Did not really plan to use it but saw the oppourtunity to contribute and it was the only item Nickj did not bid on :laugh:
They definitely work but it does restrict what else you can wear. If you wear pressure suit style armour they won’t go together but will with a roost guard. i did well over 100k’s yesterday on one of the hottest days of the year and felt fine all day so I doubt I will ever use it. You are welcome to have mine for the cost of postage if it will fit you.

Scroll through your settings menu and you will see the one button option. If you only plan to shoot in one mode it is a great option for conserving battery.

You can also set the camera to one touch recording. This eliminates the standby mode and saves batteries. It also helps against the dreaded GoPro lens fog. Me and TB have been using the anti fog inserts and they do a great job, as does the skeleton back if the weather is fine and the dust is not an issue, but for extended battery life the one touch mode is the go.

The batteries take up to 20 cycles to get full run time. I filmed all day today and Spuds died half way through and it is brand new. By all means get more batteries but you will get better run time after more use.

Don’t worry about the pc playback for now Spud as you won’t be editing them just yet. Just watch it on your TV and decide which clips you like and then save the files to your computer. Then you can set up a YouTube account and upload them straight to the site. It seems like a steep learning curve mate but compared to what you can do on a bike it is very simple.
Just yell out if you need a hand.
