Did you get roosted after you took over from Dejay?

Catching a Hobbit in the bush is rare but seeing one grovelling next to his bike is unheard of

Hey Wardy,
It really depends on what you will use the vehicle for when you don’t have the bike on the back. Do you need a 4×4 or do you need 5 seats. I have always had 4 x 4 utes. First an extra cab Hilux and now a four door Nissan Navara. You do need a good ramp but the bike is easy to tie down and there is plenty of room for all your gear. As a bonus you can get into places that a sedan with trailer or van could never get. The van is more secure as you can lock it up but if you only need transport to and from a ride I reckon a good 4×4 ute is hard to beat.

You certainly summed up your Saturday group there mate. It was on the hammer for 8 hours straight :woohoo:

Funny how instinct kicks in when it gets serious. I hope you have a good recovery and this is something you will never have to deal with again.STM
Great footage and clean edits Jeffro. You were riding solid all weekend, especially when I saw you a few times on Sunday.

You got some brilliant shots there Murph!
The ones where riders are manualing through the rock steps at the top of the Widowmaker are brilliant. :woohoo:STM
micknmeld wrote:From there it was only a short run to Glenreagh Pub for lunch, I was so rooted I couldn’t eat and I was already starting to feel the effects of my tumble down the widow maker, so I made the decision to take the main trail back to Darlington Park as opposed to subjecting myself to smashing myself up more on the afternoon loop. I am sitting here typing this report covered in bruises and scratches looking like I have spent 24hrs in Madam Lashes house of pleasure getting the works! All the crashes and struggling aside I still had a great ride, thanks to all the crew on the A group for putting up with me and the pig!
Funny report Mick
I had always planned that Saturday morning with me would be the most testing loop of the weekend. The temp was 26 degrees but humidity was high due to the recent rain. This also meant the trail surface was primo so it was a fair trade off.
The group kept an incredible pace until we stopped above ‘No Line’ and Spud even commented that it was a similar speed to what we run with a small local group. :woohoo: That definitely all changed when we dropped into ‘No Line’. It was if a grenade was thrown into the middle of our perfect flowing group and the debris was bikes and bodies everywhere. :pinch: TB was on the camera as were a few others so I am sure we will see some good footage. As Mick mentioned the ‘Widowmaker’ was less than 1km from the top of ‘No Line’ so without much chance to gather your composure you were faced with the next test.STM
Speaking of the Widow Maker, congrats to Biggeral for joining the small group of father and sons who have successfully ridden it together. Al has stood at the bottom plenty of times and watched Corey and Nato ride it but on Saturday he decided it was his turn. He nailed it first go!

This was the fourth running of the Coffs Coast ride and I think it is fair to say it was the best ever. The trail conditions were perfect after the recent rain and the spirit of all those who attended was text book OBT.
All rides flowed well and everyone seemed to be stoked with the diversity of terrain. There is a lot of footage and a thousand stories that will come out over the next few weeks.
No major bike or body issues and a great time had by all.
I am glad you all got to see my area at it’s best and thank you all for contributing to the rides success.STM
