Hey Bulls,
Darlington Park sent me the accommodation list today. Can you check that you are on it if you have booked. So far it is 67 adults and 22 kids so let me know if you thought you had booked but are not on here. At this point there are van sites, powered camp sites and unpowered sites for those that wish to join our Xmas party. All cabins are sold out.

I heard there are a few glitches with the new Mountain Lion but knowing apple they will sort that quickly. I have the latest updates for Lion OS and I have never dropped a frame let alone crash.
If you don’t want to import from iPhoto just create a temp file on your desktop and you can drag into the timeline straight from there. same goes for screenshots, music etc.STM
Nato wrote:Looking at the comparison on youtube it seems to make a difference. Stm should have a great idea as he has owned both!!TB is right in that it makes a bigger difference on a TV than it does compressed on YouTube.
I just noticed that they had compare new with old.STM

If you look carefully that is not the new GoPro Hero2. The comparison was done with the old model before they went to the glass optics.
Very sneaky marketing!Wow!
Nice work Moto.STM

I rolled in to the local and they finally got their back order of Michellins turn up, Upon openning straight away the quality and the thickness of the tube is noticable. The v rubber says the same specs but its clearly not i have found. I will let you lot know if the Michellin holds up to it better than the Vee. Sorry if you run vee rubber and i am talking them down but its just my personal experience.I am also interested to hear people ideas of the mousse tubes, If you could enter your pros and cons it would be appreciated.
Cheers Nato.
If you ride rocks nothing could be better than mousse tubes. Once YOU learn to change them (most bike shops wont or can’t) you wont go back. Yes they are expensive at first. They can be cut and added to, yes they need to be lubed. Beware it seems to me the Lindswood ones are cheaper for a reason, the ones I have fitted for a few people dont seem to have lasted as well as Michelin one. In fairness with one it hadnt been out to be relubed, sometimes you have to do that. There are also lubes and lubes it seems from experience the genuine Michelin one is thicker seems to last for peeps that dont want to take the chance over a longer period of time, if you are changing tyres a bit more often a cheaper lube will do. I have been using them for over 5 years now. I that time I have used 3 fronts and 2 rears (I rarely run the rear because I have only had one rear flat in 6 years and on my bikes that would be over 90,000kms  ) Until recently I always used the genuine lube to achieve those miles
Pirelli also make mousse tubes I havent tried one so I cant commentI have banged on about Michelin ultra heavy duty tubes forever here one I had in the rear of 2 bikes didnt over 25000ks before I got a railway spike thru it. Bridgestone also do a ultra tube I reckon is as good
I will find you some info about Mousses, Mal 5.1 uses them and is a gun at changing them (best I know
) Crash has used them also for ages
TB
My only experience on a mousse was on Nickj’s bike as he wanted my thoughts on his fork. He thought it felt harsh on square edge hits. He was right, it spiked badly but it was not his fork but his mousse. He pulled it out and it had totally deteriorated inside the tyre.

Interesting topic.
I was involved in the bicycle industry during the period of air suspension technology and as a product manager it was my job to assess the worth of components for each riding platform. For light weight XC use the air suspension was a no brainer. You save weight and can pump them up firm so as not to lose an power through the pedals. As the travel got longer and the bikes were leaning more to DH than XC than the coil suspension still ruled. Even at a World Cup level now where weight is key most riders use titanium coils rather than air. The way Rockshox and Fox got around the initial stiction inherent in air sprung suspension was to create a positive and negative chamber. This worked like the small coils now used in PSF. It allowed you to dial in a softer initial stroke and over come to spike that you got from the air cartridge. After much development and very clever engineering it was deemed impossible to ever have an air setup that gives the small bump plushness that a coil can provide. In MTB where weight is the main concern then it seems a fair trade off but on a trail bike I question it.
My DH MTB runs coils, my all mountain MTB runs air. Put 250cc or more behind it and it overcomes the need for a super light front end. Sure I like light dirt bikes, but I don’t have to pedal them so I would choose coils.
In the SX racing where they run hard setups and look to save every gram I get it but for trail riding I doubt it has merit.
Let’s wait and see.STM
Krusty wrote:Ok my bag of tricks showed up today… I can confirm what Moto already has confirmed that the stock LI-Ego arm mount will not slot themselves into a GoPro flat or curved base mount. However I can easily attach the LI-Ego Camera to the Stock GoPro Camera Arm Mount. This then allows me to use any and all GoPro Mount options.I would have thought LI would have used an arm mount that would be universal to the GoPro base mount leveraging off the huge market of mounts, mount plates and mount arms GoPro already have available.
Why re-invent the wheel eh?
So I now have two curved base mounts and one flat base mount and boat load of mount arms to make use of…. What to do…………… 👿
Sounds like a trademark dodge. No doubt GoPro have protected their gear and this is a very clever way around it.

Hope you had a good day and enjoy your night.
