Happy Birthday Spidy!
I hope you have a great day and all the best for the year ahead.STM
I fitted up ASV folding levers, grips, bar plugs and got rid of that massive switch block and wired up a kill switch.

Nice one Scotty,
Keep us updated. Looks like a great unit for the money.
Enjoy your trip to Fiji!
STMGood edit Scotty.
Looks like another iMac man out there
The anti shake software removes pixle count in an attempt to stabilise the shot and replaces them through a process called interpolation. This is what gives that wavy look to action footage so you are better off not to use it. Just set the camera on the most stable mount you can and film on the highest res possible.
It seems the light metering is sub the standard of the GoPro but it is half the price. I would be keen to see it at 1080 with no stabilisation.
Good looking singles for pedal!STM
When I saw the thread title I was about to move it to the Suzuki section as I thought it was a story about a DRZ
Good footage, particularly the rear facing. That really shows you trucking through those pines.STM
That is definitely easier to read. I was heading back from the snow this morning and could not focus on the grey background but then again focussing was tricky at all

This was worth adding thanks to Moto.

axel wrote:I have the same one. When you park it dont loosen it off too far so it rattles. You feel it go a bit “limp” below 2nm. Thats far enough.
My last torque wrench was last used as I was tightening up the drain bolt on the Patrol diff. My wife walked in and said those infamous words: “I think my waters just broke”. The torque wrench sat at specified torque settings (high) for about 2 weeks before I found it under the car. Ooops.Hey Axel,
Are you supposed tho store a torque wrench at a low setting?
CheersSTM

STM is right but the Showas are good kit mate
TB
I probably would buy a F#@^ing Honda if they still made 2 strokes  after seeing all the issues these blown up exspensive 4T’s are having no thanks.
The Showa’s are a common swap, the bomb would have been KYB CC forks off a late model YZ but they cost a bit more. I could have gotten away with rechroming but the Marzocchi’s have a black nitride coating on them as well so it woud have been both legs to be done. Apparently the Marzocchi’s shiver 45’s are a copy of a 92 model Showa (like I had on my 92 Husky 360) In all honesty the new showa’s should outperform the Marzocci;s in every aspect. The problem with the CRF brakes is it is only a 240mm disk Why? I will have to look at trying to get a 260 mm upgrade from somewhere especially since I need as much front end braking as I can get. (remember its only my little finger applying the force 😆 )I do have access to Machine shops but Im not at home often enough to utilise them,I would just prefer to get a professional mob to do it right the first time.
I think Bulls Wools bike is a XR400 ?
Ollie
RHK have a 270mm rotor with adaptor that bolts straight on for $250. I put one on my CRF and am very happy with it.

razzle wrote:See, I have been listening! :laugh:the advised goodies have started to arrive, lots more to come still including Kinchrome torque wrench (cheap!) from Chris in a day or so. There’ll be no strippin’ that oil level sight bolt for me (not that I’ll use it either, I’ll just drain completely and re-fill with correct amount). Oh the joy, my first ever torque wrench :woohoo:

That Muc Off goggle cleaner fluid is the shit Raz!
I love the stuff. Bets way to keep them looking brand new.STM

Ollie wrote:Not today because im at sea, but Sunday I pulled off the entire front End in readyness to fit my new Showa CRF250X forks, wheel, and Brakes. One of the bolts securing my handle bar clamps was seized and I had to in the end use a die grinder to remove the head of the high tensile Bolt  wont use loctite on those puppies again. :blush:I also fitted the EGO bark busters correctly on the XR
Ollie
Nice one Ollie,
You are going to love those Showa’s. I spent a shitload of money to get my WR forks dialled and my Showa’s are as good if not better stock!!!
