Who started this trend? Was it Nickj?
Congrats Snowy.. Should have gone the Kato 350 though
[/quote
It started well before Nick got his. Mthicket was the first I saw and that bike is 5 years old and going strong. Aaron made the switchover a year ago and has had no dramas. The biggest surprise would have been Crash. To downsize from a 650 is a big move and he bought his before the Coffs ride last year. I rode with him at Wauchope and he was flying on it. Since then Nick got his, myself and now Snowy. When I first joined OBT I was often the only 250f rider on group rides and now they are everywhere!
STMThey are a good looking bit of kit!

mike wrote:I reckon by the time you bring it up here for the ride you will have it all set up and be flying :woohoo: :woohoo:It will be a work in progress but I reckon outa the box it will be pretty good. That is if outa the box you include, radiator guards, bash plate, brush guards, Yoshimura slip on, Jd jet kit, SM Pro rims, Ringmaster graphics and some billet bling

It certainly is in the eye of the beholder. I think those low slung clear tanks on the new KTM look like a tired old ball sack hanging off the side of the bike. Imagine how they will look when they start to yellow.

singletrackmind wrote:Well the time has come to hand my little Yami on. I have taken such good care of this bike and many of you know just how reliable it has been. I have only ever used Silkolene oils, fresh air filters and kept the bearing and linkages in good shape. I recently replaced the head bearing, front wheel bearing and all linkage bearings. Everything is tight and working perfectly. Here is a list of the goodies.
2005 WR250F
Black plastic kit with Ringmaster graphics and 10 litre tank (180 km range)
Original plastics
Full tekniks magic on both fork and shock. Coils, valving the works!
Fork given another basic service for seals and fluids
Shock re-chromed and serviced
Stealth Sprockets
X ring gold chain
Barrett exhaust repacked recently
TM Designworks guide
Over sized front rotor
Braided brake hose
Pro taperOversize alloy bars
Gold Breather hose, valve caps, rimlocks
Black Jap rims
Rad Guards
Bask Plate
Brush Guards
You get the idea!
All engine parts are original and it runs well so that is testament to how well it has been looked after.
If you want a good reliable 250F or have a mate who is looking to get into the sport then this would be a great buy.$4000

I will list this online tonight so if anyone is interested it can be yours for $3800

I flicked through the mag last night and you must be stoked Rory. Husky 250’s on top and that new Honda CRF450R looks like the bike news in MX for 2013.

rockdog wrote:I think you will find they are not that cheap on pirellis anymore. They are bringing in tyres ex a foreign distributor of pirelli via nz.
If any old bulls want Pirelli tyres just email parts@rockmotorcycles.com.au with either your size, bike and quantity required and we should go very close to matching their price. You can even just email us a screen dump (ctrl “print screen” then ctrl v in your email)of your torpedo 7 shopping cart and we will see what we can do.
We buy large quantities of Pirelli from link international who are Australia official distributor. There tyres come direct from Pirelli ie fresh rubber(this is important on pirellis), they are and always have been a massive sponsor of racers and race series in oz, they are been very aggressive with their prices and are not way dearer than usa. we support your site with sponsorship to try to get a few extra sales that I otherwise wouldn’t get so I’m happy to do as good a price as we can.You can’t get any fairer than that. Always give the site sponsors an opportunity to compare prices as it is the support and generosity of all these great dealers and suppliers that help to keep this site alive.
