So did Bigger al like the 310 ??? It did look like it, I’m likeing the idea of one to replace my old spear,I’m yet to ride one though.

He did although the front fork was in bad shape. The newer models have KYB forks and that would make a big difference. You should speak to Rory at Rock Motorcycles as he has some great deals on Husky’s.

I still say to this day the nicest suspension I have ridden on what attched to a 250x.

I can confirm a similar experience. The one I rode was one of the first in Aus at the time (the X reg version). At the time it was the best suspended bike I had ridden.

rode a new 450x about 6 weeks ago nice suspension way to soft for my fat arse but don t no what the 250 would be like

I weigh 88kg’s so I suspect I will need to go slightly heavier on the coils but I am pretty sure the stock valving will be ok after riding a few others.

I had my last ride on my WR with Bigger al yesterday and once again the little Yami performed beautifully.
I started prepping it for sale last night so if you know of anyone who may be interested pm me.

Do the newer ones still have valve issues? Not a big drama to throw some SS ones in there anyway, especially at the price you can pick one of these things up for.

Two of the valves are titanium still but I am hoping if I do all the right things from new I will be ok. The SS ones are easy to come by.
I put a lot of research in and rode a few bikes and came away very impressed with the crfx. The Showa suspension and handling feels perfect to me. I am putting a 270mm rotor straight on, pivot pegz, bashplate, radiator guards, slip on and a JD jet kit along with the Ringmaster graphics. It will be a brilliant 250F.

4 grand seems like a steal for that bike mate :ohmy

has been a great little bike that has never let you down, wish I knew someone who was looking for one.

Whats coming next then Scott??

I think it’s a fair price mate. As you know I have almost spent half that on suspension and you yourself said it felt the best of any WR you had ridden.
I am not looking to negotiate just to get it to a keen new owner who can enjoy it the way I did. It is rego’d till the end of August.

Great idea Scott with the water works with that many kids.

Being the Christmas party we might need a Santa for the kids and the big kids to.

    cheers

    Good call Strucky,

Do you think the kids would notice if Santa was wearing a Polka Dot jersey

Your not wrong mate. Lets hope Honda can do something in 2013 or the Japs may just lose a bigger chunk of the off road market.

STM,,what be the silicone spray you speek of ???????
I use wet look , the bike looks dandy when done ;) , but its a dust magnet  , the bike ends up filthy before i even get it of the trailor if we go on a dirt road to get to the launch pad for the ride.

I only use a cheap one from any auto super store. The trick is that I ride out my garage door and I am not sure what dust is

My wr weighs f’all when i’m riding it and 200kg when i have to pick it up from the bottom side of a hill

Are we cockin on about weight again :silly:

I apparrently just bought one of the heavier (performance ag )bikes on the market and it handles like a dream and turns on a dime

its taller than my old weapon >………i was a bit concerned about that before i smashed some trails

So stop cockin on about weight and handling until you’ve riden every bike available on every trail there is (cause i have done this of course)

But in all seriousness its handling not weight

its all a compromise between power (being a very broad word there are a few different aspects involved)and agility …………and being able to pick it up when you fall off

and just to keep this thread on topic i might even use some ct18 and silicon spray to keep my steed clean

According to the source that I took the weights from (ADB 450 shootout) your bike is lighter than a Berg 450 once the ADR crud is removed.
And you even showing up in a bike cleaning thread is off topic Bob :P

All bikes weigh more than published figures and there is no way your WR is 108Kg ;)

TB has a good point about a new WR250 though…………

It doesn’t with 5 litres of silicon spray on it
