PTW
Thanks for the kind words Pete.
I sat up till midnight and closed the voting, tallied the final count, wrote the handover speech, stripped my self of the title, had a cry and went to bed. 😆
It was a great race in the voting and I can’t wait for the big reveal on Saturday night.STM
Excited would be a massive understatement!!
Congrats to TB, Chris and Mal for sorting out the red tape so that this could go ahead. Thanks also to Forestry for making the process as simple as they could considering the time frame. We live in an era of public liability and they are just making sure that everything is covered.STM (no longer King)
Happy Birthday mate!
Keen to catch up with you on Friday for a beer.
Have a great day.STM
Nickj, Spud, Rob400, Lantana Man, Fully Loaded Man, The Hippo and myself will be doing the North Coast to Sunny Corner express. We expect to get in around 4pm and help with the setup and start the festivities. Apparently Nickj is not drinking on Friday as he wants to make sure he is in the best shape for Saturday as he reckons he will smash Galey’s loop and be back for an early lunch

They have a rego version in Victoria

Trailboss wrote:With such a large group we will need a few simple things to happen to help it run smoothly and they areI would ask people as soon as they get there or if you’re there helping on Friday after 4pm or at YOUR EARLIST CONVINENCE please come up to the admin area, near the BIG SILVER van under the big silver tarp. If you could pay your meal money, get your freebies, put on your stick on name tag so everybody knows who you are. The sooner you get that out of the way the sooner it frees up the Admin guys so they can enjoy their evening / weekend without chasing people up
The Saturday catered meal will begin serving at 5.30 at the Admin area under the tarp. The ride leaders are aiming to have you guys back in camp by 4.30 to give you plenty of time to have a beer and get changed
If you have a SD card etc from your helmet cam or camera from the days riding, you will be able to bring it to the admin area, we will load it onto a laptop and play it during the evening on the big screen. If you have a USB stick we can put it on there for you to free up your SD card for the next day’s riding if you want.
I will be loading the adventure ride loops on Friday night for those that want it on their GPSs. I will also be lacing up two wheels for Menace’s YZ basket case project if you wish to maybe learn or even teach me
There will be an announcement as to the possible location change for next year’s Birthday ride
Look forward to seeing you all there
TB
Happy Birthday OBT!!!
This site has given me some epic rides and taken me to some incredible places, but most importantly it has given me some great mates.
Ride On OBT :woohoo:STM
I have so many great memories it is hard to name just a few.
I remember standing back and checking out the scene at the camp cook house on the Coffs ride last November. There was so much laughter and such a good vibe in the air it really drove home to me what a great bunch of people this site has.STM

I’m pretty sure you need to buy a special charger (been told around $65 n due v soon), also these are apparently the only Lith ions that are fully waterproof. We can also get shorai brand but they are not waterproof. Then the Shorai should be fine for you Nickj. TB may need to invest in the waterproof one though.

Another thing I forgot to mention and have learnt the hard way that the GoPro mounting brackets become brittle over time. Mine had been on there for two years so I suggest replacing the mount every year as they are exposed and do take a beating.
