G’Day Sirdropalot, new tyre hey. I’m due for a newy. Be interested to see how it performs.

Can add 2 more to the list. I’ll be there and bringing a mate. He may be joining oldbulls tonight.

Looking forward to Saturday see everyone there.

I will being trying hard to even that score Mike . Looking at difference in tyres I think I have given myself a pretty good hand up in that department (now just have to get rider up to speed:laugh: )

I just changed a front tyre this arvo  ready for a ride on friday with a few mates from work.
The bloke in the video makes it look so easy, but he isn’t using ULTRA HD tubes. Its like tryn to fit another F****n tyre inside the tyre :S

Here I was thinking it was just me I did my rear tyre last night and there was no way it was going as easy as his, but I have ultra heavy duty tubes as well and it was also damn cold here yesterday so not much warmth went into tyre prior to fitting. Wife found another video trying to find an easier way and the bloke on that used glass cleaner as a lube and it finally got me over the edge and done:woohoo: . I reckon if I had ended up with a pinch flat this morning the whole lot would be sitting at the bottom of the dam right now:laugh:. Was a good thought to post vid Eagle but I think next time I will pay the 10 dollars fitting:blush:

Maybe I should have waited for this next vid  .

So you are still getting out with and Tomo then:) A decent tyre makes a big difference, I think you’ll like the Washougal.

Make sure you give Mike and Tom a big roost from me!

Your wife will gets used to it……slowly

No Tomo last week he has sold his bike and as for the wife she was willing to carry that tyre around in taxi’s and walk around Brissy with it and hold it on the train so top points to her:kiss: and no she isn’t standing behind me  .

Glad to hear you like it Boonster. Sirdropalot, let us know how you go. Opinions good or bad are what makes sites like this so good :)

Mate its already exciting me and its just sitting in back room :woohoo:, at least it has knobs on unlike the one coming off. As your Uncle Mike can testify to I didn’t have a real good time riding last sunday, probably a high percentage crud rider:silly:, but also didn’t help to have half the knobs torn off other tyre. For some strange reason my wife wasn’t happy when I gave the washougal a warmer greeting off the train than I did her, I just don’t understand women:S.

Juat an update with the Washougal. To date I am very happy with the performance of this tyre. I have covered around 700Km’s on it now with plenty of hard pack riding and a fair few road Km’s too.

The tyre grips consistently well in all conditions and also has a great wear rate. I still have plenty of knob left (yes I know very funny) albeit they are a bit rounded. I intend to use this tyre for the Pony Express that I will compete in on the 14th June I am that happy with it.

For an all round tyre you certainly can’t go wrong with one of these Washougals. I’ll be buying one again :)

Apparently they also make good necklaces as as I am typing this my wife is sitting at a railway station 4 hrs away wearing a washougal necklace:laugh:as they wouldnt let her put in with luggage. Glad you gave it a good report Moto as thats what I will riding with next ride (mind you it wouldn’t be hard to beat the Mitas I have on now:unsure: )

Hey Husky whats happened to sirdropalot then?

Been swapping jobs and job locations so havn’t been doing a lot of riding or been near a computer to check for rides. Good news for me is finally have a job back home :) and even better is mon – fri so don’t have to miss rides due to weekend work anymore :woohoo:. Been away so long I drove past Husky610’s new place in the truck the other day and was beeping and waving (while he was washing his bike the lucky bugger) and he looked at me like I was some nut ( he knows me well  ).

Who’s the QLDers that live around Marybourgh, the inlaws live up there and am keen to do some riding in that area.

    KTM01

Let us know when you are coming this way and we could do a local ride (sounds like Husky610 has been exploring new areas) or maybe organise another amamoor ride as it is close, sort of:blink: .

Good luck to ya,that place looks top rate.!!:woohoo:

    Where abouts is that??

Sorry fellas I am only home for the weekend then off away from computer again so can only post now:( , I don’t mean to be cruel:ohmy: . It is just out of Beaudesert, and as stated was the sight for the RTCB ride that was originally going to be the OBT QLD gathering, and 1200 acres of it is in the process of becoming a part of a new dam as it has been resumed by government but there will still be plenty of riding areas left. This is one of his smaller properties he also has some very big cattle properties so he has no worries finding riding spots:laugh: . He is a great bloke who even lets broke no hopers like myself enjoy lifes luxuries now and then :silly: .

Spotted front cover of paper today and noticed Charley was coming here to Fraser Coast so picked up one to find out when only to discover he was coming into Maryborough today by spitfire and was landing between 9 and 10 am. Unfortunately I bought the paper at midday:( .
