Looks like you guys needed the lads looking after us on our ride with their chainsaw:unsure: . I think I would have turned back if I seen that mess ahead
. Looks great as all ride areas do and good to hear you had a ball, thats what its all about. I am feeling one day of just over 100kms of riding so three days would have me still in bed unable to move:blink:. Good report and pics.

Quote:Must say too…Top young Bull that one!! Met some others out there today too, a few young local kids 10 -14 ish. We all came across a dropped tree, managed our way around it, on the 2nd loop, those young lads had gone home, got a chainsaw ( Husky of course) And an ATV came back up the hill cut up said tree and got help from a few Cage runners to shift it. How goods that!!?Ok being one of or maybe the only granddad out there today I had to have a rest before posting:blink: (A good excuse that I use because I can:P ). Firstly thanks to everyone for turning up and making it a great day out in the sun. Special thanks and karma to Peter(Ohlin XR4), and welcome to the site mate:), for leading us around as I think we would have got lost a bit without you:lol: . Thanks to the young guys mentioned above for showing us the youth of today aren’t all bad:cheer:, well done lads. Thanks to Tom for trying to help get my great lump of a body back up the hill after I stepped backwards into thin air:blush:. Ok ride report time, day started with us meeting and greeting at the Amamoor store. We then moved onto a grassy area down the road to unload and suit up.
First bit of trail had me wondering if I had already picked up a flat as bike was slipping and sliding and moving around like I was on flats. I then discovered that the erosion mounds were not built by a bike friendly person as they were like hitting brick walls(and may have contributed to Mike’s early demise:( ) and were so steep some of us were spitting off them in all sorts of funny ways:S. On the way down a hill I overshot a corner as I was really struggling with grip level and confidence:dry: and ended up getting up close and personal with a barbwire fence. I ended up stuck between the bike and fence and managed to melt my pants to my pipe big time(should be fun to clean pipe:S ) That was the first off of the day so lived up to my username:lol:. Same loop had us at the tree the young lads cut and removed before 2nd loop as Husky said above. Ohlins and Mike got around then it was gotowo’s turn and he got a little bit close to edge and slid down, I got off my bike to help him and after putting stand down promptly stepped backwards straight off the edge:blush: as mentioned above needed assistance:huh: . Had another ‘lose balance’ off after a little incident with loose pants and bumbags(Had to be there;) ). Husky’s take on the hills was as he said plenty of them and some quite challenging ones with rocks, ruts and to top them them off some had very long grass hiding all the obstacles:blink:. All in all I had a bloody fantastic day despite the occaisional obstacles and can’t wait to get back to those not so friendly erosion mounds:laugh:. Pics to come:silly: .Husky610 wrote:

A set of OBT Guard Stickers would really set them off now:) Sure TB could organise some sets for you guys to purchase, what about some Stubbie Holders too while you are at it ??? And I don`t see any fork savers strapped in on those front wheels (We have them too)The more we sell the more OBT can grow:)
Cheers & Enjoy tomorrowI like the guard stickers so they will come and when I can afford new plastics the Obt sticker kit will come. We have a stubby holder and if you look there was one fork saver…..thats all we had:blush:
