I’d be interested in a ride at Amamoor on Sunday but unfortunately I don’t know where I’m going:( My son Tom will be up for it as well and maybe 1 other:)

In your case Mike you would head north up the highway towards Gympie and around 15-20kms south of Gympie there is a turn left to Amamoor. You go along to a cross intersection (slightly off-set) and go straight across Amamoor is then about 3 or 4 kms in. From there its a bit of a drive into forest. As I have posted I hav’nt ridden there so could be a lot of getting lost:blush:. Quite happy to make the shop in Amamoor meeting spot as campground is harder to find. I have a bit of video I can email to you to show some of the ride area if you like.

I would be very keen for a ride this weekend, (Sunday 8th would be good) if you decide to go. It might be a good idea to start a new tread to get more people interested.

Sunday would be fine here will post it seperate and see what happens……….have it on DBW but no interest from there.

Hey Husky hope it all went well today:). Had a shocker here today with this damn flu so no chance I could have ridden……buzzed out on drugs at the moment so feeling half fine now:side: . Also have some good news about exploring Wongi…..have organised to do a day exploring with my uncle backing up with 4 wheel drive and extra fuel in case needed. If you are interested or if anyone else is interested I am trying to get a ride organised for Amamoor on weekend Saturday or Sunday 7th/8th March depending if I get any bites and what day suits others. I have never been there so would be all exploration unless someone has been and is interested.

You boys give in too easily, where is your resolve? Marraige is a bit of paper, it doesn’t mean much. She can take me for half of everything now being defacto.

I’ll remember this thread and laugh when I still get to do what I want years down the line ;)

OMG what has been started here!!!

Geez, been married near 21 years and I can do what I want.

Maybe we never really married afterall

    Garry

The big 25 years for us in October and my wife has not one bit of interest in bikes herself other than she loves Harleys. That said when the daughter was racing she spent every weekend at the track with practise or racing. She became club secretary and often copped alot of abuse for letters she sent out even though she was just the ‘messenger’ as they say. She volunteered us to open and run track on most practise weekends Sat and Sun (in fact we were running track weekend of my accident:S )…another thankless task as carpark racers didn’t like to be told to stop and adults never liked track time for juniors, track too wet or too dry etc, etc. She lived through the after effects of my accident which was in the end a complete change of lifestyle and starting from absolutely nothing again………….and still she has not complained once about me taking the selfish (I think so anyway:laugh: )step of getting back onto a bike again and mainly driving 4 hours each way to have a ride and usually break something on the bike:blush:. So after all that I think I can call her a legend lol.

Oh and she lets me sit on here and talk about bikes:woohoo:

On the way to childers there is a sign to aramara………my only concerns are I don’t know distances for fuel range. If we can find biggenden for refuel that would be great.
