hay sirdropalot i would not put a carlsbad tyre on the front put one on my last bike wr400 gave it head shake made the front ride rougher than let tyre presser down lower to get it to handle and got dinted rims did not grip very well either .thought i would put up with it untill it wore out but it lasted realy well so just took it of and got another mitchelin.don t mind the kendas on the back if they are cheap grip okay last alright if not in rocks herd the buds creek ones are better than carlsbad but have not tryed one (buds creek)due to cheap supply drying up

*edit 1:- Hmm will try posting something this time:blush: . Thanks for the heads up white rocket……..as you can see have ridden enough to have had a whole 2 rears:woohoo: so all learning for me. I am sure as a young bloke I would have had tyres that had no tread at all so no recalling from back then;). Mate is being official tester for all the Kenda’s and he did think budds creek went better than carlsbad, but like me a newbie so not a lot of different tyres tested yet.

*edit 2:- Woo hoo my favourite number post:woohoo:

I wouldn’t even try those Carlsabad’s from what I’ve seen heard from other riders.

Why is that, wear and tear or handling?

I started with a near new Maxxis rear, not sure which one, It outlasted mates Kenda ‘carlsbads’ 3 to 1 although he does have a CRF450X which has been written up as a bike you need shares in a tyre factory to ride:ohmy:. Lucky for him he is a tyre rep;). I have now got a Mitas c-09??( got the flu so can’t be bothered walking to shed to verify – is a Mitas though:laugh: )and its had one ride and already has a knob (no not me:blink: )ripped clean off and looks a little worse for wear, but in saying that it was taken up some rock and root infested hills that would put any tyre to the test. Same day had 3 bikes with 3 new tyres, my Mitas, a bridgestone and a Kenda ‘budds creek’ all seemed to handle the terrain much the same although no idea what others looked like after ride, didn’t look that hard. Still have Maxxis front but will end up on Kenda’s front and rear eventually as the price is right:silly: .

G’day Bulla welcome to another Queenslander. I have family up there in Herberton and have looked at enough ride reports from you guys (and have walked up into the hills behind the mining museum and seen the ‘walking’ tracks) to know that next trip up I bring the bike;).

Have only had readyfilters since buying the Klx and after seeing those pics decided I better pull mine apart and have a look as I am always at the back copping the dust:lol: . Seems fine was maybe the slightest bit of dust …….phew. That said still worried me enough that I will go and get twin air and try them:dry:.

We just stoke that fire occasionally, keep the thread ticking over!B)

Ok Ecks just stoked your fire for you……..I figured it needed some night shift attention as well;) and even managed a bit more blatant advertising as well:blink: .
