my tank is 26lts googs track from fuel to fuel is about 300kms but googs track is very soft sand u have to keep the revs up or u sink

theres about 250 steep sand hills with sharp crests on top for the entire ride your working hard even though ive got a safari tank i still have to carry an extra 5lts so thats 31lts and by the time u get to glendambo theres not much more than vapours in the tank

fill the tank and the 5 lt bottle to get to mt ive station use it all then just fill the tank for the last 320km dash home

no fuel in iron knob its pretty much a ghost town with about 60 people

this was the 2nd time we rode googs but because i broke my bars and i got the stick in my face we had to turn around and ride back to ceduna for treatment but the first time we rode googs track we left ceduna at 6am get to glendambo late afternoon no support vehicle we take wot we need once we get to glendambo it a quick bite to eat fuel up then we drop down in between lake Everard and lake Gairdner go to a place called mt ive cattle station fuel up then head to iron knob then home to whyalla

to be honest it needs a 6th gear but still a buzz to ride

it vairys if the bike is working about 380kms per tank but if i take it easy im looking at 500kms its 26lts australian made safari tank

it happened on a track called GOOGS track just north of ceduna south oz only damaged the bars no damage to the bike or tank
the stick was in deep had pliers on trying to pull but wouldnt move had to get it cut out had to ride for 5hrs with it sticking out of my face
