Dont pick on the DRZ Boony, I have lightened her up heaps by removing some useless shit Suzuki put on them and its now down to 170 kg thats a whole 450 grams lighter, And I figure If I take a good dump pre ride that will cut the rider weight down to 110 kg. Just have to make sure I put a cross on your forehead so I know the right turd has gone!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts gents, stuffed if I can accept being this old, I dont feel it. Unfortunatley no new bike for a birthday present, the minister for war says I have to pay for the education of all these sprogs. Amazing how much more fun it was making them than it is paying for them. Looking forward to the ride and beers with you lot at Sunny Corner, the black bitch has been stripped overhauled and is ready to go (and just as bloody heavy as ever). Snowy

Found a fan that may be big enough to cool your bike and your fat arse at the same time, simply mount on your front mud guard!

Ring of knowledge implies some intelligent conversation so you will have to stay in the tent Boony

I see Menace is on E Bay again still trying to buy a friend!

in reply to: Kenda Tyres #220849

Ok first point Im not even near the class of rider that Mal is and have enough problems keeping upright that I have tended to buy whatever tyre was cheapest rather than what was supposed to be quality. Here in Tamvegas that always seemed to be the Kenda Washougals, but what stands out for me after running the Michelin m12’s I got from Suttos at the Coffs ride is how the Washougals were good when new, but they seemed to go to shit once they had a few rides on them 9particularly the front) whereas the Michelins seem to be good all the way to the case.

In saying that remember I ride by braille most of the time so the Michelins may just drive better of the trail side trees than the kendas .

I thought we were going camping and riding motorbikes
know it looks like we r going to someones f@#$%^&* wedding and we have to pay a covercharge to get in to the bloody thing
do we have to wear a tie

and the comedic entertainment has blown out to some ……… bloke in a spider kini

it must be the adv rider input or something i don’t know

    I’ll start again

    I’m looking for a spit or 2 I’ll supply the lamb/s

    I’m going camping and riding

and if someone wants to let me ride there new efi wr that would be good

if all else fails Mal we will use yours get blind and watch these crazy people at the Bromance wedding apparently at the same spot (if i could be bothered to find that photo of a famous bromance i would ….but i can’t)

??? Chris and I thought it would be a good thing to have the main dinner catered for mate. The dinner cover charge would cover as listed below

Chris’s thoughts were to free everybody up from cooking and rooting around. It helps us get the evenings auctions under way knowing everybodies eaten, beats stuffing around after a full days riding doesnt it

Lamb anyone lets cook this puppy up.

Typical snowy report, full of sh*t,now tell the people about your thoughts about the Ktm when you rode it up the long hill,Ohh while your at it, tell them you was in front when we dragged just before I nealy bought a jip . Make sure you tell the truth.

I always tell the truth. Rode the KTM but the DRZ is still in the shed tonight, and as for the drag as far as I see it I was still riding when the jeep went past not lying in the table drain wondering how to get that mess off the bike seat!

Polly and Dude have all the photos so I’ll just fill in the bits between seeming Boony didnt turnup until the second day.

Friday, Polly, Damo, Damus and I did around 60km of hunting new trails and doing clearing runs on some others. Found even more sweet singles, the Cells never disapoints in revealing never ending singles of the highest quality. Added a couple of sweet bits we can use in our loops and revealed a great hill and a seperate single that indicate theres even more that we need to find and link up. Arived back at camp at 3.30 to find the Dude had just arrived in his usual impeccable timing. While sitting around the fire bench racing we hear a roar like an F111 which turns out to be Murph the Surf punching though the night to join us around the fire.

Saturday, We are all up ready to ride as Boony and Matt were to be at camp by 830. We sent out the super sweep Damus who found them parked 15 km up the road, apparently Matt was spewing his guts up as after 200 km of listening to Boony crap on about his KTM and it was just to much to stomach. They finally made camp at 9 and we were shortly on the way. The day was one of the best I have had on the bike, 8 blokes who kept up a great pace with no real hold ups apart from Boony who spent 20 mins trying to convince a gum tree to buy a Ktm 250. Brilliant day of around 90km of nearly all singles as well as a late run in the semi darkness to show Murph the longest slippery hill most of us know, not Murphsberg material but at least we made him work hard to get up there (Boony softcocked the hill and went to the camp as apparently he didnt think the KTM would get up it although the DRZ, Murph and Damo on the Kwaka all got up. Highlight of the day had to be when we let a group of young blokes ride first through a single track that we wanted to use. A heap of these young blokes got stuck but all the Old Bulls got up without drama. Saturday night the bench racing was epic despite the loss of Murph who had to get home to catch some Catherine Hill bay left handers. A throw away comment about a gay cowboy movie saw Damo slagged off all night as he dug an ever deeper hole trying to get away from his first comment.

Sunday, I handed the lead over to Boony and straight away the trail ride turned into an adventure ride as we tried to find a mysterious trail that could link our cells loops to the Nundle hills of gold. As the mystery “singles” turned out to be forrest roads the plan was soon dumped and we headed back into the singles for a great run back towards camp. Damo’s first run as leader turned to shit and he was sacked to sweep and we got to swim our way up a trail that the 4wd’s had turned into bog holes before heading for the infamous Kokoda trail. On the way Boony tried to asert his KT’os drag racing ability against the DRZ only to meet the only Jeep in the forrest as he vainly tied to catch the DRZ. After some time in a table drain with dirty trousers he caught up and we introduced Dude to Kokoda. He didnt seem to fall in love with rocketing through a trail slightly larger than a motorbike and not as tall as a crouching rider while endless vines and branches tried to rip him from the bike. The love bite from a vine he met was his take home souvenir.

All up a brilliant weekend with some top blokes (and Boony was there too).

The life I love is squirting mud at all my friends
I cant wait to catch up with the Old Bull Bruthren

    On the road again
Off to Sunny Corner where I’ve never been
I’ll be seein’ things that I may never want to see again!
Whats eleven hours to get on the bike again

    On the bike again
Not like the Adventurers, they go down the highway
    We’ll take the single track
And race each other back along the fire trails
For an ice cold beer…………coz that’s our way, and our way
    Is in the dirt again

    On the bike again
I just can’t wait to get in the dirt again
To the Sunny Corner Loam where no ADV would dare!
And I can’t wait to get in the dirt again

    In the shit again……
Like a band of hoons we thrash on down the singles
    But at every dead end
Boony insists that the goat keeps turning his way, coz he’s gay……
    He’s on the goat again……

    On the bike again
I can’t wait to get on the bike again
Drinkin piss and talking shit with all my friends
