Thanks Budge. Was a good day to start the year. Plenty of single track, some wider trails, some more singles and a valley to cross. Sand, rocks and dust. :pinch: Thankfully was some cloud cover and a few degrees cooler than Saturday. 5 blokes. 5 different bikes (Sherco, Husaberg, Husky, Honda and KTM).
A variety of riding which had us sweating off some left over xmas cheer. Good to meet Tezza, Marty and Chris with Tezza only living around the corner from myself. I can definitely see some arvo rides happening. Sorting out the new CRF and suspension settings which is progressing well. I am definitely feeling more comfortable with the way the bike rides
A few dropped bikes but no injuries. A great start to the year
Budge supplied a few liquid refreshments post ride which I think we were all thankful for. I’m looking forward to more rides as the year progresses.

Changed the gearing already to tame it down in the lower gears. Off to technics in a few weeks to set the rear end sag and and maybe new springs and revalve in the front. Will let them decide. Then a few decent rides. It already handles better than the old WR. Won’t touch the engine as it already has enough go go to tackle anything I throw at it. The chain chews the rear knobby a little so will have to be careful with tyre selection so I’m running the chain on the the tight side of normal to reduce any chain slap that maybe occurring. I’m definitely not looking back but only forward to the next adventure on the trails
    Cheers for the reply

Thank Budge for hosting and organising a great ride. Both Jason and I enjoyed our morning ride at Menai. Thank to Chris and Bryce and yourself for a great mornings ride and to yourself for taking time to take a few pics. Hope we catch up on another ride in the future
    Cheers
