Its not a Yamaha Bollocks, you couldn’t kill that Yamaha you had could you? But if you must get one mate, why not ;)
One thing before you do, and I know it is a 250 but hear me out. They have an shit lot of power for a 250 and such a wide spread as well. Get a ride on a new WR250F, a 2015 with the lay back motor. They are amazing, forget the brand thing if it was a Gas Gas I would still say WOW. It is basically a ZY250 with a 6 speed box, lighting and full ADR. Just a thought

Enjoy whatever you do mate, good luck

Oh and after thought Protty will know all about them, Protty, Protty calling Protty

Much come in yet Scott? I am still away but will make things happen when I get home with the site sponsors.

RideADV will put up a one of our rides including the use of one of our WR’s. The prize will include accommodation, bike hire, route and fuel (excluding the finke ride) value including would be over $800 and more depending on the event chosen. A factory ride weekend :woohoo:

Taken from the AMCN web site

Toby Price lost more than 23-minutes to the stage winner through a navigational error. As a result Price saw his margin to race leader Coma, who was third on stage, extend from 16-minutes yesterday to 32-minutes today. Thanks to Quintanilla also having an off day Price remains less than five-minutes from the third placed rider, and lost only a few seconds to fifth outright Stefan Svitko. Thus the Australian still has a very good chance of securing an outright podium.

Toby Price, 8th on stage – “This morning was going well and we were making up ground. I made a small navigational error in the sand but I got on top of it. We were about one minute off the lead at the first CP but then we went into the fesh-fesh area and it was really tough. Then at about the 360 km mark there was a waypoint and we all got lost and the other guys made up ground. It was frustrating to lose time there but I am happy we’re here. As long as we can get to the finish line, that’s the main goal. But if we can stay in the top five that’s even better.”

I see that Toby has no time listed on WP7-11, but still has a finish time. Missed WP? sensor not picked up???
He is still listed as 8th overall with 0 penalty beside his name so things should be ok. He was doing well until the middle of the stage or there abouts maybe navigation dramas?
Should get him on some RideADV nav rides this year as practice for next years Dakar

Our first WR250R has left the RideADV shed today! What a bike, fuel and ride. The only thing replaced on the bike in 12 months and 10,000kms was a front sprocket. 3 services (over serviced as the service intervals are 10,000kms), tyres and fuel. It kept up everywhere with the big bikes and preran all our rides. I was ridden on the limit everywhere especially when used as a zero bike. It carried chainsaws, bags, roto packs and computers depending on the job required of it. It spent thousands of kilometres on utes as a spare bike if required by our crew. It was also hired to customers and loaned to people interested in the little 250’s before purchase.

Good on you Jeffro, a good read and good on you doing that for your family. I had a place at Mullion Creek and lived there for 5 years back in my late 20’s.

130kms to go with 2 hrs to do it. Looks like the lad will do it no worries!

Short memory Mick? Well at your age its expected   Bad Bowie was home and hosed we thought in 2011(?) we all thought he was done and wrote himself of and the bike within 20kms of the finish. Not there until you are there ;)

I just spoke with Letty as he left Tippaburra (spelling). Sounded fresh and going good. It will be the mind game now till the end. He said the sand after Louth was deep, you just sat back and let it do its thing :woohoo: Go little man !
