    hey tb
i was talking to my brother inlaw greg yesterday and he lives at broke and wouldnt mind joining up with us when we refuel at half way house on putty he was also saying that if we are going to be coming out of bush near martindale the gate has recently been locked but he is able to get key off the owner.can you tell us what trails we are going on from putty to denman and ill get greg to check out access with some of the owners if you want.
    cheers dave

We join Martindale trail which become Martindale road at a place called Raspberry Junction. I was under the belief that all those where trails and tracks that were public roads

Well after some mucking around KTM01 and I arrived at Wauchope in time for a counter lunch with Mick on Thursday arvo, we then went around to Mick’s shed and cut some trouble until he had enough and came home form work, we did pull Trippers new XR to pieces to confirm the noise as worn cam and rockers

We had some beers / Rums and talked crap until Moto and Matt turned up and decided they didn’t to go riding in their new riding gear,

    P3050006Small.jpg

Matt also showed of his new no flow radiators, you cant buy these but Matt can modify yours
    P3050003Small.jpg

Moto then spoke with the local constabulary as to why 4th gear wheel stands are not the go on the local roads

We hung in the shed, Lisa made some smick roast beef and gravy rolls for lunch, Boulder and Holeshot turned up and we drank some more and talked more crap.
    P3050008Small.jpg

Next morning after waiting for what seemed like forever (9.30 Start) and Mick up at 5.30?? Get a life!!! We left and got started on the dual sport ride,
    P3060012Small.jpg

we rode out through Beech wood and out to the big bridge in the photo,
    P3060014Small-1.jpg
some wheelies and some more wheelies and on to Long Flat where we fueled,
    P3060017Small-1.jpg
After this we left the black top and travel up a fun trail where Mattie decided to show Moto some correct riding form and techniques by kicking his arse as per the photo.
    P3060020Small-1.jpg
    P3060021Small.jpg

So we ended up at Ellenborough Falls for a few pictures and to watch Mattie’s pick up form with some poor back packer lol

    P3060025Small.jpg
    P3060024Small.jpg

Moto didnt have a stand and had to park on his own
    P3060026Small.jpg

We then rode down to Comboyne for some fuel and then some sweet single trail home via rutzilla, which it its worth mentioning Moto rode up

White Rocket ran out of teeth on his front sprocket and bolted for town and got all the bits to fix it, I did some tyre changes for Mick, Strucky and myself, Mick drove to the airport and picked up Crash, we did some air filters adjusted chains, I changed gearing and we washed the XR’s for boot camp Saturday Morning.

We went to the club and had some dinner, again we watched Mattie’s pick up lines in action, he tried the Chef at the bistro this time, very nice lass we all though was young, turns out she was nearly 40!

Next morning we assembled at the farm stay did the speeches etc and left for boot camp,
    P3070039Small.jpg
and straight into the single trail, I was hanging onto the back of X and I had arm pump and was sweating like a pig, but had a huge grin, how good was this.

I stopped at the first water crossing to take some pictures

I started working my way back to the front for the next photo session, I had got back to X and we left on an uphill trail, I hit a windrow in 3rd gear going fairly hard and when I landed it felt as though my foot slipped from the peg, which for a split second I thought was strange as I have pivot pegz and your feet never slip of those suckers, I tried to put my foot back but it had snapped the bolts for the peg mount of in the frame!
I ran back down the track located the peg, told crash to let X know hat had happened and I was going back to town to drill the bolts out. I found Moose and asked which way to town and he said Mick had bent his right side foot peg (mine was right side as well) and had headed to town to fix his as well. Mick had crashed on as uphill and bent his right in front of Ollie the demented laughing hyena.

Once back in town after a lot of work and broken tools we got the XR going, Mick had repaired his at a mates shop going into town and was ready to head back when I blasted past heading for his place, he thought I had come back for him, as if ! Anyways he helped me fix mine and lead us back out to lunch break to meet the guys.

    P3070056Small.jpg

After the great lunch organised my missus X we quickly got back into the bush and stopped at the fuel dump. X had hidden fuel in the bush so we could all fuel which we did and continued, uphill and down dale.

I tailed Ollie for a while and couldn’t find a nice way around him, he had a big rear wheel slide in front of my that had him at 90degrees to me I thought I was about to centre punch him but he gathered it up, but then after the slide I knew he had no rear end grip and we kept at it finally on a big long hill with more Michelin grip I got past. The 300 Gas Gas has some serious poke and went well all day straight from a major tear down which was great and a big relieve for Ollie I am sure, good job mate.

I took some photos on a hill

We did X’s log crossing that had both bananas head over heals lol. As we turned for home the trail riding pace sort of heated up somewhat, at one stage I caught a group of about 5 guys and was looking for a way around on this single trail when we started going faster and faster we came out of the single line at one stage, as Matty said 6 bikes all in the space for 3 looking for a way around, when we joined the road at an angle Matt and Moto sat on their bikes doing corning man and got to witness us all on the gas hard, poor bastards got filled in but I bet it looked great.

Mick Crash and I broke of from the group and headed back to Mick’s to park the bikes, have a swim and drive the car out for snacks, beers and talk s*#t.

It was a funny afternoon, Barry and the barrow and the beers, we sold all the stubby holders etc that we took, if you want any promo gear just PM me and I will organise it for you

I thanked everyone concerned in the opening post of this thread and thanks again to all those people
