hay TB do you think the m12 will be good at warchope got them front and rear never used one on the back before can not wait to try them at wauchope yee haa

I find that the M12 has no side bite, its steps out without warning but drives like a bastard in the soft stuff, as I said earlier tonight if you look at it from the side it looks like a paddle tyre of sorts, Chicken is running one now ask him

I put M12’s front and rear for the Hillend ride and on the hard pack which made up most of the ride they were very skatey. plenty of grip a the rocky hills but on the hard pack turns I was wishing I left the standard Bridgestone grippy’s on.

Went for a ride today out the stateforest near home which is more sand based with some muddy sections and had grip everywhere. On the sandy banked corner I could lay it in on entry and dump the clutch on exit and they would hook up.

I was having so much fun I keeped doing the same corners over and over. woohoo

Yeah have a look from the side at the rear M12, they look sort of like a paddle so of course it would hook up in the sand :P

Nothing works on that Hillend ride terrain bar throttle control or throttle outa control :woohoo:

no Michael I dont, but being a trainer I have learned that through diversity that people sometimes have different requirements, just to add to the list of things going through your head for the weekend, is there an option between cooked meals and cereal?

Please put Crash and myself down for both meals mate.

PS I know what you are going through, its hard work covering everything, so when people say thanks it great

Aaron can you PM your mates details to TB so he can get it sorted for him.Last week we had some notification issues that are now sorted.

Mick there is nothing there, normally people incorrectly list their e mail address, they leave a . out or the likes, then the notifcation e mail cant get to them, but I just looked there is even no attempt or missed attempts nothing. He has to be doing something really wrong, but its not getting to us

So three years plus, no dented rims, whats the cost of new rims, no trail side stops, no tubes, no carrying all the stuff you have to carry

Was Crash running a mousse in the front on the Hillend ride, cause his wheel didn’t survive that one.

The rim wasnt that bad Scotty, there is more to all of it, like if you drill XR hubs and fit heavy duty spokes the hub is weakened thats what happened to his. Had nothing to do with a mousse but Crash will tell you it would have been much worse with.
Put 14pis in a tube and you can squeeze it together yeah, cant do that with a mousse, protects the rims. Ollie and Gassit saw me go flat out up a rocky hill at the Christmas Party and witnessed how hard you can smash into rocks with confidence

PS Crash end a bloody big wash out at speed and said he was luckt=y to stay on

TB, i was readin the michelin site and i noticed that BIB-MOUSSE tubes (i gather thats what your talking about) are only good for 6 months or so. is that correct. it seems like a lot of cash ($200 plus) to be forkin out for 6 mths use..

correct me if im wrong mate, remember im an ignoramus southernerB)

    menace

I also saw this and thought it was a bit pricey for my likes for 6 months use….

Mine Mousse would be two + old, read the explanation that Crash put in the tyres for the 4 day below

To start off with, they’re pretty expensive – probably around $190ish!
Should last over 12 months or so, depending upon how much you ride. It will then seem to be getting softer. You then buy your second one. After another year or so of flat free riding, the second one will seem to get flatter. It is at this point, you start to get a further benefit by being able to cut a segment from your first one. You use this to pack out your second one! So basically, the purchase of x2 tubes over a couple of years should get you well over 3 years of flat free riding.

I used to use them, sourced them from Ballards, different to 99% of soda bottle cylinders, but I have gone to a pump or better still mousse tubes, not pumps, bottles, levers, tubes, patches or hassles

mate, does all that mean that ya reckon the starcross is a good tyre for the front???

Look I tried to stay out of this at the start but my name was mentioned else where so I had my say, yes I would recommend a Michelin Starcross 3, think its a MH3, Crash will know or Chicken maybe, little better than a M12 front, but they do chip a little where a M12 front Michelin wont.
Maybe you could try a retread, they are ok and cheaper, I have tried to get people to use them but they worry about front retreads, speed or heat hasnt worried mine, I did over 150kph on a 36 degree day into hillend and it didnt fly apart. Just a thought.

(I dont sell them or have any affiliation with Michelin or the distributor its just this mugs thought)
