oldgirl wrote:Just starting to think about getting my gear sorted for the birthday ride and read through the old threads on what to carry in your tool bag and how to carry extra fuel.Hmmm I have a small problem I can’t wear a bum bag (hurts my hips too much) and I can’t put anything else in my backpack as I have serious back issues and just can’t carry the extra weight.
I will get a fender bag so that sorts out my tools but what about the extra fuel??Anyone ever set up thier husky with extra bags etc?
For what you are going to do at the birthday ride weekend you wont need to carry extra fuel. Extra fuel will be needed at the camp in your jerry can. I would also go so far as to say you wont even be really that far from the camp to carry tools or a tube (I know I wont be

Would be surprised if it is damaged it champ the amount of KTMs you see overheated with out damage you would have to be unlucky. The 530 I was riding for a while had ice in it and a KTM fan kit and never overheated again. I also always turned it off when stopped even for 30 seconds. Fan came on by itself did a good job. Should be standard equipment for them it having to spend more hard earned is wrong IMO after the buying the bike for a fan

james wrote:Too all the people involved in organizing this ride thankyou so much,I have spent a fair portion of today writing a ride report an thankyous only to have it vanish off the screen when I pressed submit
Not sure if theres any way to retrieve it but don’t want you to think your efforts aren’t appreciated by meCheers James
James there is a time out setting we need to have sorry. In future write your report in Mircosoft Word and save it. Then drag your mouse over the story highlighting it, right click select copy. Then hit reply on the thread move the mouse into where you would write your report, right click, select paste and bang there you are. Hit submit, it wont have timed out and away you go.
Now bugger of and rewrite it mate I for one would like to read about your event
