Quote:Yes TB that was me saying that about racing verses riding, and thats why I said “ride” and not race….here’s the funny part, if I were to just ride it, I still wont be able to walk the next dayWhat about when you did the 4 day  , how did you back up everyday and go to work on the 5th day, I know I was sore after I did the A4DE but worked the 5th day, oh thats right Australia’s premier enduro isn’t hard like the Pony Express at Wauchope is it, or you said that not me:huh:
TB
What about you Chris T, coming for a social ride, you will have to come 2nd but Dave’s mental prep, bike prep blah blah means he is coming first lol
How you been Chris? Whats doin with the knee?

Quote:Racing to me (and a lot of others) is putting 110% effort into coming first, I mean after all the pre race efforts of training and bike development and mental preparation, you would expect to come first because you were planning for it, so racing is wanting to come first, and I am sure I am not alone in this opinion. But isnt that you above Dave, racing to win, using bike development, blah blah blah, stop the excusess and get ready so you can come first

I saw Choppers stolen bike yesterday!! Couldn’t believe it, looks as though the guy want far from home considering how he was dressed, I will see him again and next time I will run him clean over in the car, sorry officer sorry

Looking forward to spend 4hrs riding with you to fix that Dave in the PE

Quote:TB when you say you raced in all those big races and still went to work the next day????… I am confused.
Let me explainRacing to me (and a lot of others) is putting 110% effort into coming first, I mean after all the pre race efforts of training and bike development and mental preparation, you would expect to come first because you were planning for it, so racing is wanting to come first, and I am sure I am not alone in this opinion.
To be saying after racing these events you still went to work the next day, then how much of that 110% did you give, all of it or were you saving some for work the next day, Mate dont get me wrong I am not saying that some of the huge km’s you have done are not easy, and sometimes its a gold medal effort just to finish some races….Erzberg competitors would know this feeling, thats for sure.
So to be fair and accurate you would have to say that you rode in these event’s not raced them , and thats cool as well, how many of us can say we rode a A4DE, and then how many of that special group can say they RACED it, not many would you not agree, and I say that if you rode the Pony Express you will work the next day, ……but if you RACED it no way will your fitness levels(or mine) allow you to work the following day, there is no rest on the entire track mate, it is choice, and by half time the ruts are mind blowing, bike swallowing…. cool bananas, I hope I can ride the day, at least I will be able to sweep ride and I will match you one lap for one if my duties allow, wont you be lucky as a sweep rider is not allowed to pass a competitor.

Quote:Same as before mate, we dont race these events any more we ride themStop being a poof Dave :S , get your black shit box up to the line
, use you electric leg and get out in front of me and I will hunt your arse down  , dont be hiding behind the working for the club crap  , you are always working for them I am sure they can organise for you to do one race, Mick can you speak to someone so he doesnt HIDE behind that piss poor excuse. Look above in bold he is already trying to back up lolTB
not sure what I just bite off, oh wellPS Moto I have taken the Monday off after the race to go riding in the Watagans, how about you do the same and we show these silly old (in the mind and body) fools
PPS Hey Dave you havent done a 4 day then or anything that you need to pace yourself instead of riding hard for 10mins and crashing your brains out like you did when ya got betty going
Ha ha funny rocket, wasn’t 15mins was it? The side cold air intake on my bike has been the most unbelievable change to my filters I have ever seen, before that half day would see it struggle to rev in some long dusty races (not hard ones ask Dave) but dusty ones.
TB
Mine is more direction of air flow based when looking at the flow paths in the head
TB
Oh I am with you ECKS difference is I never said they are any good did I? its just what I use to catch a little dust, as skins cant be used on my bike
, you are barking up the wrong tree there ECKS
, I also run a clean air intake and K & N filters fairly different. And besides was only passing on something I heard from someone I think is in the know and has nothing to gain regarding what people use
TB
These dont do valves Husky, dont worry your friends about it, just make sure they do their air filter all the time.
TB
The tip I got today is to compare you pool socks under a microscope against a proper filter skin and you wont use a pool filter skin again is the word, cant see it with a naked eye they reckon. That’s why there is the price difference is guess?
