Take the engine mount bolts out, leave the swing arm one in and let the front of the engine drop, or pull it out and drop the whole thing in the frame? That would work but there maybe an easier way.
Never had to touch any of my XR600’s for more than oil change

Quote:The ECU should do most of the work compensating for the changes. Removing the cats will certainly get rid of alot of the heat produced.I’m not sure how you can remove the O2 sensor without the modifying the ECU though? It’s part of the fuel/air ratio control loop. My old Toyota Supra used to drop into a safe mode (cuts boost to turbo’s) if the O2 sesnor returned a fault signal or was removed.
Thank god after reading 30 odd quality posts of Moto’s  (busy today, you amaze me, you da man)I stumble across this one, its a good correct response that is informative. I would give karma Moto but its 15mins I will never get back. Oh hang it karma anyway as this one is good, well done. All pollution related senors have a performance derate feature if disconnected ( as the pollution side wont work correctly ) or the sensor fails, so people have to get it fixed
