10″ metal steel ball is bigger than the 100mm piston in the fiddy your right! Fark what pressure is working against that valve?

So a miniscule little bit of dust is enough to destroy the valves on CRF’s but dead bugs sat in your sump aren’t an issue. We fit bug screens to all of the valves and instruments we supply beacuse they stop actuators (moving 10″ valves) from working.

I see you point, although the dust is in the intake, thus wears the intake valves, I think we are talking about two different things, I am talking about fuel hose, drains etc as I think Mick is as well. The oil breather hose on my bike runs up over the air box under the seat and into the top of the air filer. I think the XR 600 ones are a S bend style open hose are they not Mick / Chicken?? Could get a bug up those only if it was stopped. That said you are right a bug wouldn’t be the best thing in your sump but its better the dirt.

Sorry if I was confused  , hoses looked to small for crankcase breathers I thought

Yeah same Mick, I dont think a bug if it could get in there could hurt anything unless it was carrying a hammer?? lol :P

The hose are routed so fluid / water cant flow up, you can also cut a vee in the end to stop a rock getting stuck as well B)

That’s just some of the quality that KTMs have Mick :P
