——h—— wrote:Hi all
I have a question you guys might be able to help me on
I have a 2004 sx 450 and am wondering if I can fit a fan to the radiator
Is it worth it and how hard is it to doMy son is only learning and still a little slow so when I follow him mine gets a little on the warm side.
I understand mine is a RFS but they look awfully similar to the EXC models and was thinking of may be swapping some parts over.
Reckon the guys at Sutto’s would be able to answer all your questions, and do you a deal on a fan kit. Give Scotty a call 02 47379566. Tell Scotty your a bull and TB sent you
I have fitted a few genuine ones now and they seem to work real good of the thermo switchTB

Another Adventure X project bike, so today I started the conversion on a XT660X to a XT660R and then some :woohoo: I built and laced new wheels (still have the motard set) Fitted new 23 L tank from Brazil a gilimoto tank. Fitted a Metal Mule bash plate, new tyres and tubes
Started like this (forgot to get a picture at the start :pinch: ) Twin pipes and under the bike exhaust
Custom hand built Barrett system (very sexy) no more low boy exhaust

Bash plate
Tank, swapped out fuel pump and checked valve clearances while it was being swapped
New rear wheel, was supplied new hub, new spokes and new rim. New chains and sprockets
Same for the front
Waiting on a screen, fat bars, risers, bark busters, rear rack, custom Barrett luggage racks, pivot pegz and then of to Tekniks for Nicks magic wand to be waved over it

mickp wrote:gavb wrote:Apparently the angle on these is the same. The offset is how far forward the fork centreline is from the pivot centre line. What is 3mm among friends…..Gav it makes a biggg difference – you can notice quite a difference even when you move the forks up/down in the triple grips 10mm which changes the rake of the forks.
Pushing them down slows the steering (more stable at higher speed but slower to turn at slow speeds)
So if you have an extra 3mm it will have a much more noticeable affect than just pushing your forks down and make it slower to turn in the slower tighter stuff.

Thanks for the detail Mick I didn’t have time to type it all buts it’s what I meant
