The ride will be leaving from in Corranbong itself
TB
Average moving speed will be in the 40kph range
90% of the route as been ridden but the whole thing will have been completed before the ride
I will be using knobbies
Date shortly
And yes your arse will be sore from riding your bike
If you are a single line gun and thats what you live for it may not be your sort of ride, plus you will have to share a room with someone

KTM01 is right Michelin ultra heavy duty tubes are the go, one better is mousse tubes, if not the back at least the front, prevents dented front rims also.
I use Michelin ultras in my rear if I am doing high speed stuff as rear mousses over heat and collapse and I haven’t had a flat in years and years.TB
Dont think I would ever use a mousse, I seen a guy that was riding with us all day go through a creek crossing and the mousse must of contracted, the bead let go and he was stuck in the creek as the rim was spinning inside the tyre.

Something strange going on there, go to 4 day and see how all the guys are using them, and they would work a tyre harder than your mate. Crash, Chicken and Myself have never had a drama, we mainly use them on the front, I run rears and I cant say I have every had a problem and I feel myself and my bike would test them,
Strange happenings
X rides a Yamaha, speed wont be a problem

Quote:i also can’t understand how it is supposed to help balance wheels. can someone help me out here?Years ago when I was looking after a fleet of trucks in Newcastle, balancing of steer tyres became an issue, we would have them balanced and the next week they would loose a weight and the whole process would start again.
The tyre company I was using started supplying the steer tyres with a brown paper bag with what looked like a fine brown sand in side, fine fitting the tyre you fitted one side, chucked the bag (still unopened) in the tyre, fitted the other side and away it went. The idea was the bag would break and the STUFF? would then balance the tyre. The drivers loved it and said it worked great, never did get to find the theory behind it though, will be the same for the finny leak stuff
Dan can you get some heavy duties fitted to go to Hillend? I am sure Champo will chuck em in for you and Kylie hey Champo.

With the distance that this ride will cover all bikes that attend the ride will need to be mechanically sound.
All riders will need to carry on them
1 x new Chain joining link
1 x Front tube, front tube can be used in the front or rear
1x Spark plug
Please check your bikes over and cover the basics as it affects everybody, we all know stuff happens and that’s trail riding but I just want avoid silly things cropping up.
Basics include
Tyres, chain, sprockets, wheel brgs, spokes, cable ends,There will plenty of guys there with tyre levers, pumps, nuts, bolts, wire, chain breakers, cable ties, plug spanners tape and bits and pieces so don’t stress if you don’t have those things, but bring them if you do and be self sufficient.
If you can pack a spare air filter with your chain lube and pack it in your bag and let the service vehicle take it, then if its dusty you can change it rather than clean it. (supercheap auto sell pre oiled for most bikes for $14.99 or there abouts)
One final thing can all bikes have heavy duty tubes fitted, ultra heavy duty are better but heavy duty will doCheers TB

Good on ya mate, I reckon that’s great and cant hurt to have that head in a helmet!
Yes a nerve
Maybe up the at Carole Park for two weeks in Feb, maybe bring the bike as I have a weekend loose up there, but may not as may go to Bundy and pick up my other bike if its not back down here by then
Looks nice, have heard of the 680 kits, you can also buy a 720cc kit form the states OMG ! , my bike will pull gearing that will lug me over dirt at 165kph I know for a fact, I also know with the safari gearing on a closed section of three lane freeway a Saturday night it would do over 170kph I know for a fact.
Crashes Stock 650, different exhaust, pulls 100mph
They are Fast bikes that when set up handle very well, ask rider X he shit cans my bike every minute he gets, but followed me in the watagans and was amazed how how well the suspension works slow and high speed. It gets me through the tight stuff just fine and dandy, ask Moto.
Gilli rode it in tight and fast stuff and spoke very highly of it.
Buy it, good thing they are going to be harder to get soon.

I never had to fit brgs to that XR.
Do XR;s have suspension the one’s I’ve riden and owned had something but not suspension:woohoo:
KTM01
 When I come up there in Feb and bring my bike and kick you and your Orange shitboxes arse I will have a public apology for all that you have said about the bike that made trail riding what it is today in this country
So there ! lol 👿 👿

Seriously this mob would hi jack a plane that the terrorists had already hi jacked, Moto is the master at it but will say its not him because everyones against him because he is British.
So you going to bring the 450 down to Wauchope in March, KTM01 aka Ray would come I reckon, that way you could all travel to the border together, you Queenslanders could get a bulk deal on having the webbing cut from between your fingers and 2nd heads removed.
