Off set will alter how it steers Gav, steeper off set steers better but more twitchy at high speed and vice versa

Pre run is done. Some small changes are required, day 1 is a big day. It is a day you don’t need to ride fast just ride pretty well all day  We arrived into Orange at 4ish, we didn’t leave Lithgow until 8.30am. We had a sit down breakfast at the Capertee servo / cafe (recommended breakfast and fuel stop) the last 70kms of our day one was in limp mode because of a mechanical concern so it’s doable. It would be best if groups get away from Lithgow between 8 – 8.30am.

Day 2 showed the need for new or newish tyres as I ran a well worn rear and required assistance once to get out of a clay rut  Breakfast was at the Two Fat Ladies cafe in Lucknow. It’s about an hour and a half from the start. You need to fuel at Lucknow and we can recommend the Two Fat Ladies cafe for breakfast, they like Capertee on day one know we are coming and will be ready to look after us.

There will be some more from the pre run with pictures posted later

I am a diesel mechanic by trade and some could say the pay for that is crap, and if you are a crap mechanic it is. If you are good at what you do you have the chance to be paid what you are worth. Diesel mechanics are better paid then car and bike mechanics in the first place but I am sure you get my point.

When I left school I wanted to be a bike mechanic right or wrong. I wise man who has passed since told me if you do that your passion / hobby becomes a job and you will end up losing the love for it or even hating bikes and the people around them. This has been told to be since by a few bike mechanics.

Good people in their trades can be in demand and paid as such if they get known for the ability ;)

Why is it considered an age thing I wonder , 14 hrs through some tuff country like the Simpson or walkers crossing or the Vic high country is as tough as a Murphs ride and I don’t see people lining up for them  myself included :P

I think to compare is unfair, but to try all with an open mind is the real spice in life

TB if I was to give you an inteligent conversation about the subject you would be too confused so Ill keep it simple.

    For motorbike riding I use a CRF250x.

For adventure riding I use a Nissan Patrol.

    OR Adventure riding= gay

Thanks Snowy for that simple worked :)

I simply read you have no idea or experience and took the homophobic path

I am good with that :P No harm no fowl here
