No mate, I will wait for you, Chicken and I will be organising this one, Crash will be there, wild horses I reckon couldn’t stop him, this one will be pretty special as we have done parts of it but its trick ride and we will book the rooms at the pub before we leave, and have a fuel ute at the pub
More details in the new year

Yeah I agree Moto, I havent seen one in action and I reckon I get about a bit, there was only one member on this site that used one actively (sorry slug) being Ollie, but it failed twice, because of the clutch plates he said. Ollie and the people that use them rave about them, the theory is sound it should be a good thing it must be, but again you just dont see them around as much as you think you would for such a good thing. I am itching to try one.
Can you get one for the smoker Ollie? Whats the difference between the old one and the new pro?

Quote:I was just talking to ballards and he has done the grey wire mod on his WR 250 and uses a on/off headlight switch ($20 through them) mounted on the bars and he has flicked the switch while riding plenty of times with no ill effect. But he did say he could not really notice the difference but that could be his bike.Yeah that makes sense
couldnt see how there could have been a surge, good can now rest my rum reduced thinking moduleTB

[quoteThe MX retreads are guaranteed that that will not happen to their tyres.
cheers Ollie[/quote]Hey Ollie can you get me another of those 140 rear retreads in a Michelin case please as I will be doing another of these rides from Cooranbong to Hillend in jan, feb next year and be interested to test one out there.
Did you read above, wasnt Tiny’s tyres fault, check it outPM regarding tyre and I will get it of you whenever you get it, I know your of to NZ shortly no rush

Yeah Chris and I discussed it this morning on the phone, and the thought is you MAY have to switch it of to swap maps, that in mind it would be good on the trail for sections of track and be great on the bars, but it could be bumped. That said where is the surge coming from, how is it there is a surge, why would there be a surge? I am not saying its safe but explain to me where the surge comes from, isn’t a pulse system requiring a position related signal sent to the spark plug in layman terms?
How is that you can switch a vortex on the move, I do it all the time, that’s why we have bar switches, even the gasser has one that changes ignition mapping on the move, why dont they surge?Surge???

Just think how much quicker they would of arrived if it was a Kawasaki rider:P

NOT AS FAST AS A KTM MY MAN
Was the squirrel right about you Dave riding a TTR 250 on the weekend? Those KTM’s good mate? A shed full and not one ride able, sounds good
Oh yeah, cheers for the ride Chop
Buy a kill switch, on/off from a bike shop. mount it around the bars use it when riding like a vortex or Ollies two smoker one, kill switch designed for conditions
You only got them so fast because this Honda rider took them and dispatched them TNT for you, remember that lol,
Cheers for the support

Quote:O.K recieved pegz from Allen great service, installed them on the WR an easy job even for an amateur, first ride last sunday at sunny corner. What a big difference, the first immediate thing I notice was that I need to move/adjust my feet a lot less, meaning my feet stay on the pegz more which in turn gives more control. The biggest difference I noticed was when standing up, there is so much more control of the rear brake and the gear shifter, I found that I no longer had to keep taking my foot off the peg to adjust the position to use the rear brake or the gear lever. A couple more rides and I think I will never look back, it is a bit weird at first but once you get used to them it makes an amazing difference.Cheers
Chris.Nice work Chris, I reckon they are the ducks guts!

Quote:Hey Mick,You got a link to that video, I have seen one on the older WR’s but not the 08. Congrats you now pretty much have a YZ250, from what I have researched removing the grey wire changes the CDI mapping to the YZ mapping. Did it give you more power or just quicker acceleration. Can you explain the difference.
Cheers
Chris.I thought that the YZ had different ignition mapping, different weight flywheel, different cam profiles and gearbox ratios dont they?
Crash is right limited time to make a living for the pros, but for me as a trail rider loyalty counts, that is once you get something love it and talk it up to everyone, you dont just bail and start talking different one up do you? I dont know?
They are bike racers thats there living, Go Benny!
I took the retread of the rear of my bike Ollie, because after only 120kms in the wet at the Watagans it doesnt have enough to do that ride. Tiny had way to much air in it and it was spinning aver the surface all the time, Moto ran the same tyre was more aggressive then Tiny so it wasnt the tyres fault.
