The reason I asked in the first place is,the method I described above is what I did with the Oneal M10’s my wife got me for Xmas last year.
As they were my first pair of brand new boots I treated them well, I thought as I wanted them to last, only to see them fly apart like a chinese motorbike in less than 6 months.
I was just looking for some feed back from other riders on how they “service” their boots.

Isnt that what you are getting old man? It has for me highlighted that I am slack and can keep my boots bling, my new white ones are bling and will need to be kept that way and I am as happy as a pig in poo that I have all this information to look after my new ones

Having said how slack I am, I have just got a new pair of the updated OXSTARS as the price was to good to say no to. I will be doing the whole deal with them as I think the advice you guys have put on this thread and Eagles new boots thread is gold!

    Cheers

The minster said yesterday when I was cleaning my bike and soaking my riding gear I should clean my boots, I washed all 3 of my goggle and gloves etc, all of Helmets and linnings and I still have dirty boots! DOH! Am going home to clean my boots I guess, is it to late to apply the dubbin stuff you think?

My last pair of boots I got 5 years out of, but didnt ride as much then, these OXSTARS I have now are 2 and half years old never had a thing done to them nothing, they get sprayed with truck wash and left to dry, I know I should look after them better but I reckon if they last me two years thats ok

I overheard someone say at the 25th ride at the Watagans say their rear pads were worn out after lunch and they had fitted new ones for the ride who was that. (not Moto)

Yeah TB That would be me,I was in a bit of a rush to get the pads and they wore out no time flat. I got them from Pyramid parts about $14 which is cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for, I have bought other pads from ATVunlimited for my Wr I think they were $16 US and they were excellant, made by a european manufacturer and are still going strong, I am hard on rear brake pads as I tend to square off corners and accelerate, but the amount of wear that I experienced at the Watagans In my opinion was unacceptable and I wasnt happy as I had only just replaced the disk as well:angry: Fronts on my bikes last for ages as well:laugh:
    ollie

Ollie I only replaced the rears after the 30th aug ride in the watagns, they had done two years and are only half worn, I have the pads and carry them in my trailer as spares, I can show them to you at the xmas party.

Christmas Day & The Police Officer.

It was a Christmas morning and for christmas this kid received a bike, So he was riding it around the street.

A police officer on a horse came upto him and said “Where’d you get the bike from” the kid replys “I got it from Santa” the police officer says “Well next time you see Santa tell him to get you a bike with a helmet”

    Seconds go by….

The kid asks the police officer “Where’d you get the horse from” the police officer replys “I got it from santa” the kid says “Well next time you see Santa tell him you get you a horse with a arsehole on the rear not on top of the horse”
