Tried two in the 650, both didnt seem to last I couldnt notice any difference I got to say and the price difference isnt worth just being able to say I run them.
TB
Righto,
Ollie, Mick and Moto in that order you guys are not playing very nice at all
You are all being quite mean. :S
Dont worry I could set Gilli’s bike up for a test run in about 10 mins, I have had test rides on a WR450 and WR250 (whole day on the 250) and I think the 250 was one of the best bikes I have ever ridden, 2nd only to a Honda (any Honda)
TB

– Dash for cash (or whatever) in FULL riding gear over say 50 meters – Bike shop donated prize
– longest front wheel skid without feet off pegs or falling off – Bike shop donated prize
– Best get of during the weekend – Prize a Tool roll
– Best fancy Dress get up for Saturdays afternoon loop – ??
– Most unhygienic person of the weekend – donated Colgate Palmolive pack Value about $70
We still have a Toolbox that needs to be given away and some other prizes that need a contest.
The party will be bring your own food etc, we did think about organising that but we will go back to bring your own.
Mac is bringing his spit trailer and the meat for saturday nite as far as I know that is so worth the wait.
I will be bringing a 5kv genset and lighting towers for the camp area and any other power needs
The weekend will start at 8pm on the friday night with a nite ride throught the single line near the pines camping area and I hope will be about 20kms long
Two loops on saturday, prize presentation saturday for most of the prizes, 60km to 80km loop sunday moring
Chopper will be along all weekend as our camera man at points throughout the tracks as he is still not able to ride
A detailed map with directions will follow soon
So come on ideas for give aways or any ideas at all for the weekend
TB & Chris
Hey Moto, congrats on the 300 posts my friend
As my pommy friend has explained above that is what goes on. lol :woohoo:
I was told that if I put the correct piston back in my bike ( as now it is in a detunned setup) and I dont get 98+ octane fuel all the time it will not be happy and will cause pre-ignition and lead to a pinging type noise! That is why I run the standard piston with the lower compression ratio.
take it easy Mick talk soon
TB
In never worry about what fuel I use, 91, 95 98 or shell 100 octane its all good in my 650 or my old 600. Never has made a difference as far as pinging went
TB
Thought we came up we the thought after to many rums that you should go down at least one plug number as a trial, I used to run a cooler plug in my 600, and went one cooler again when I did the cape
TB
Nah thats a softcock reason
Come on mate

Quote:Yeah, the Hastings Valley MCC has a sprint round this month as well, October 26.
http://www.hvmcc.com.au
They have 5 rounds and the rider with the least time accumulated is the winner. We will be there as my son loves racing the sprints and that is my excuse for not being at the Watagans TB.
We have a MX meeting on the 2nd November and then a 4 hr Pony Express on the 16th.OH spineless one, the sprint is the 26th our ride the 25th, you told KTM rat and myself you do nothing your sons and daughters bikes race prep wise so thats a piss poor excuse, come on step up, its only 2.5 hrs drive each way, I have to do nearly 2hrs each way. Come down friday nite and you will be home before 7pm sat nite still day light
Come on everybody get stuck into mister comfort zone
Shame Michael Shame

Quote:Trailboss I would like to hear your opinion about a 2-smoke bike… Its funny how light they are.Yuri, I was offered a ride on Champo’s TM300 two dinger and I will take him up on it in a future ride, it was just that I was doing both the 450’s and wanted to just make sure I gave that the justice that I felt it needed to be fair
Ha ha if I ride Champo’s for a demo, would Champo ride the 650?
lol Ollie
