Grabhams CRF had them done at finke, was incredible and I am sure Simon said (excuse the pun) that a guy in melbourne was doing them for GHR for $360 dollars, not 100% sure on the figure Chicken may remember but worth it yes (not for an old heavy 650 but)
They would go full travel and stop stick that last little bit, good thing and good write Moto
Oh and like Chris said Bling Bling Bling

Chris.
Ah Chris, now guys remember I posted an article talking about the type of person that would hang crap on your ride (being my XR) Chris was one of them, see before the four day Chris was one of the people that told me it was to heavy, too old etc When I went to cape york Chris also told me the 600 was too heavy etc, for as long as I have known Chris he has been handing out lots of friendly advice but I have never seen him ride? Everytime I stopped at his work too see his boss which is quite alot, Chris was good enough to tell me about me bike. I raced the Nulla series for a couple of years with Crash but never saw him there it was just as I was getting to know Chris so in fairness to him I would have missed him.
So I stopped at Chris’s place of work on Tuesday and handed out some flyers, the young blokes out the back tell me they are going out riding this weekend end to Taylors Arms and Chris is going with them and that (this bit surprised me  ) Chris has been talking his shit up regarding the ride. Watch those young blokes!Look forward to you coming for a ride, although a rego’ed bike would help! But would like to ride with you so you could teach me and the BRP the error of my ways lol, nah Welcome mate, will talk on my way back down the coast, if the young blokes havent sorted you out
TB
Rekluse up and running?
good talk soon
Mick cant give you an answer Fossil because I am betting he cant start my bike LOL
Thanks for the flyers thing Ollie, your are a champion
Hey hows the ride coming along? Heard from Chris, did he get his leave pass stamped?
Thanks Mick I liked it, thought Dave may have had somnething to say and DrD lol
Hang onto them, we will catch up later this year or next, need to get all the guys interested in the ride there if we can, we can put all the maps ideas etc out there and work something out. I dont want to do any black top but know some will have to be done, but the object is the SMALLEST amount we can.
thanks

“I have some photo’s from a few years ago around the place I’ll have a look and post them if I can find them. Generally flat ranging from black soil to clay to pebbly. Just out of White Cliffs I remember several dips”Are they just dirt roads?
Yeah that works great and would be a good way out there and you could lead us from Ivan hoe to the corner, what sort or tracks/ terrain are we talking about?
Yeah the railway service lines follow a straight line but are not dead straight them selfs and are 100 times better than a dirt road wouldnt you say? Then we can get back to Broken Hill, down the water pipe or railway to Menindee and railway to parkes
Richmond is good and close, say how did you find us here?
I will get us to White cliffs, what do you have in mind for white cliffs to the corner and onto broken hill, we can follow the water pipes to Menindee.
Where did you say you are from? are you close to sydney?

Quote:I thought of you TB when I saw the news this morning. The best riders want the best gear, it was inevitable:PBeen waiting for something witty from you, but thats it? What is that all?
Just made a phone call to someone very much in the know, most of it I cant discuss but heres something, Ben wants to ride a two stroke in the of road series (honda dont make them, rego’ed you does?)I would love to go into it more but cant sorry
The rest well, Chicken, Phil, Crash and some others know more because of history.
I think its great and will show how good Ben is, if you can win on the best as he has, to win on an orange shitbox will show how good he is.TB
I have a bloke from silverton looking into it for me, talking to one of the property owners as well. Do you think we are allowed to travel the railway service line? No of course not, but its a relaxed issuse out there, also the 4w4 drive wont be with us 90% of the time so we dont have to worry about that.
Hi jtb2879
Yes you are right about the things you talked about and yes I have maps and will get the NRMA ones, you would have noticed that I have only included 6 days for the 7 day trip as we can go and do things and see things there is nothing and will be nothing set in concrete. We will also be having 3 or 4 meetings or get togethers so we can all sit down and help organise this ride. I need help to work out a route from white cliffs to the corner and need people like yourself to be as active as you can be.
Shane is talking about providing the 4w4 drive, Mac the trailer etc. Do you live near the Sydney area?
A date for the ride will be set after we have our first get together and we will do that in Jan 2009. Keep putting forward any ideas and input
Cheers TB
Good Job Ollie, wish I could be there but am stuck on the Gold Coast till saturday morning doing grooms man duties
Hey print some flyers from the link on the home page and hand them out to any dudes you meet eh?
I handed some out at the traffic lights on the move on sunday night, lol
I did some bike shops on the drive up here yesterdayEnjoy your ride mate
