I would like to test my oil under my conditions, but as a engine mechanic (thanks chicken) and engine trainer I wouldnt like to run different oils in my engine as I think thats bad for them.
Different make ups in oils do different things and I have seen engines that have been using no oil had a different oil added next change and soon used enough oil to be rebuilt next oil change.

    Just my thoughts.

That Motul has been in that thing of Chickens since JC played fullback for Jerusalem, in both 10/40 and 10/50 weights and its a semi synthetic I think and I think we all change our oil enough that most oils will do the job without being top shelf, its not as though we race the baja 1000 mile event pinned and are straining the hell out of our engines, its a good thing we do is what I am saying, but yeah you know.

Good question Ollie, the general store where we are having lunch is where we fuel, but be aware people its unleaded or diesel, thats it nothing else, that should be about 80 to 90kms into the ride.

That air cleaner comment opens a whole new can of worms, when at Finke we (Chicken, Factory Phil and myself)were told that GHR has race 450 engines with over 100hrs on them with Honda valves in them because they dont clean their air cleaners they just fit new pre oiled because you cant get the dust out, enough will save that for anther day
