    Everyone ready, anyone taking wet weather gear? Anyone got any secret things they do to get ready? Got any tips, Chicken may give us a weather report tomorrow nite as he lives almost in the Watagans

    Anyone super spray their bike with silicon spray, including under the guards so the mud doesnt stick?

    I would be up for sampling Mick, you would also have to make sure people take their samples the same way, as chicken, crash and myself all worked at Cat we have had it drumed into us that oil samples are to be drawn up the tibe stick hole and not from draining oil from the sump plug because crap can fall from around the plug and other things that not allow for accurate results.

    I run the same oil as Chicken, the difference is I change my oil as so as it starts to change colour, as soon it changes from the tan colour I change it. When we went to the cape I had to change after one real hard work, high reving 380km day, yet I did 1300km easy running before it discoloured.
    The 4 day I did the whole event without an oil change, that was about 680 odd klms and it was ok, but ready for a change after the event

    Changing your oil is the the cheapest maintenance you can do, I use Motul 5100 ester 10/40

    Chris, Chopper and Myself are doing the family ride thing at Louee for three days in Oct if your interested even for a day or two. We are doing the full family thing, all kids wifes etc

    90 hrs for top end ha ha, read that chicken whats the old girl done now 40,000 + kms for maybe 6 valve adjustments, gee my 650 got its 2nd valve adjustment in 3 years the other day

    Screw and nut me think much better than bucket and shim B)

    Yeah I am with you there Crash and even more important will be giving Mark a thought as well and hope he gets better soon.

    I dont know Mark but as Crash said he is living his dream and running middle to rear of the field as any of us would.

    Will see if we can stay on top of Marks condition.
