My boys ride in the PCYC minibike club they are 4 and 8 and they will go dirt in the long term if they wish. My better half has a ride sometimes and will pillion. All my family is in bikes, brother, sisters there kids

KTM 300 would be a sweet ride (sorry got to say it) but not a HONDA !B)

The worst of it was Mick was I had stayed on my minute which was all I wanted to do, the radiator getting damaged was a nothing not a fall not a drop, I pulled to the edge to let a two dinger that was flying in the special test past and it dropped in a hole in the long grass and lent against a log or fallen tree that I couldnt see. When the two dinger went past I let the clutch out and rode off, lucky the end of the special was only about a km, left there down the hill into the final days refuel and the boys are screaming at me to turn it off!. At the time I was 5th in my class and was doing it ok, could have kept going at that pace, but hey thats racing !

Yeah what you have said is the go mick, factory phil uses all those bit and pieces does the bling wonder boy and he got me on the it when we shared a house. He would clean a bike baked in mud from sunday on tuesday without a pressure washer and it was showroom new again. We used to measure the jobs because thats how we rated how dirty they started out. 2 rum cans was a dry moto practice day, thru to 10 or so cans fall asleep on the out door setting and the bike stayed outside that night was muddy race day. lol

Yeah champ your right, I used to replace my tyres every couple of rides and my mates used to fight over them but now with kids etc I run them and find no real difference. It was years and years ago when retreads first came out, so maybe I should try a rear now on the BRP and see how it goes

I tried Motoz once, one ride the knobs just ripped out of the case and the dealer that recommended it didnt want to know about it. There fronts just dont look right knobs to big in my opinion. Retreads I gave a go once on my old 600, WA retreads and I didnt like it at all, seemed to stiff with no side bite, its up each person, I like a good front with small knobs to bite in and have been known to be hard on rears (destroyed in 230kms of trail riding VIC high country)
I run Michelin’s most of the time, we ran maxis at the A4DE as they kicked the tin. I find that the Michelin’s are constant all the way from new to pretty worn, the cases are strong and the range is good. Down side is that they are dearer than other brands, but you get what you pay for and they are supposed to be the go for mousse tubes although we used them with maxis’s

Yes nice but Ollie is right trail riders have a shit fight of a shed bar the well worn path to the fridge, motorcross riders seem to be of the slightly anal lot that have it all its right place ;)
