Who can recommend a good rear tyre thats durable and will last a while was running intermediates milvilles? thinking of going Metzlers?

I run Michelin’s most of the time, we ran maxis at the A4DE as they kicked the tin. I find that the Michelin’s are constant all the way from new to pretty worn, the cases are strong and the range is good. Down side is that they are dearer than other brands, but you get what you pay for and they are supposed to be the go for mousse tubes although we used them with maxis’s

There ultra heavy duty tubes are the best bar done!! Thats a fact!!

hey Chris that tyre looks like it its had a hard life too much tar??

Yeah I was thinking the same. It kinda had knobs on the side but none in the middle?
Nothing like a new tyre to get you outa trouble!!! I love new tyres because trouble kinda follows me around just of late.

I will this time only defend my little green mate, that Michelin rear of Chris’s has seen bugger all black stuff, I looked at it the other day and its not that bad the photo must make it look worse than it is. It wouldnt have done 500kms.

We do some riding around Orange which in a couple of big pine forests it is all pretty well all single line, first and second gear work good fun for a change.
Take you there one day Mick, in summer hey?

Yes it was in the shop having some work done, they rang said it was ready, he said he would pick it up the next day and the workshop burnt that nite!
It was a trick 400, it had HRC engine kit, oversize brakes, steering damper, full staintune system, mousse tubes , braided brake lines etc.
They came good and paid the agreed amount so all good.

As far as the 4 day goes, no they didnt give us a PDF but I could scan it and make a PDF from it

Hey I was over at Chop Chops today sucking some Bundys with him, he has got his new neck brace, and we had new fat bars to fit etc, but it all went arse up, from bars! But he showed me his secret weapon for Capertee as we know he had some dramas staying upright last ride

That is crash on his RIP xr400, it burnt in the workshop fire at Stoney Creek Motorcycles last month. The photos are from when we raced in the A4DE in 2006, trail rider mag did a feature article on us as trailriders doing the four day. Because we knew that trailrider was doing the storey on us we could get companys on board. Motul supplied oil, filter oil bike shine etc. Ross transport paid all the accommodation for 8 guys for 8 days, Local honda dealer help, wal on this site supplied a shipping container and compressor etc, Battye help with Fly gear and OXSTAR boots, It was the best week, I will upload photos if you would like tommorrow has I am out not on my laptop
