moto wrote:I know he’s riding the Baja’s but I thought he was doing Dakar too? Maybe not then. I read he going to the US a bunch of times this year to per-run and race some desert events, may I have got my wires crossed. He needs some time to get used to navigating and at speed. His outright speed is up there with the best of them he just needs more practise/experience and he’ll be a good thing.
As Scotty says Coma will be a tough cookie too.
Yeah been following the US desert racing for years and TP will shake it up which I can’t wait for :woohoo: he won’t qualify for Dakar until after Safaris and other international events and like you said would have to learn to ride fast and navigate. I agree about Coma as well. To quote you Moto from another thread I don’t like that Honda have maybe done a Manchester United with this and not won it with a new team and a up and coming rider. I can see the politics behind them doing it given the corrupt French race officials

Past Taree we go, going well bike has only fallen off twice ha ha

moto wrote:Toby Price will have the pace to win. Question is can he deal with the navigation? I’m going to say no the first time out but if he rides subsequent years he could be a strong contender……much like Kurt Caselli too I reckon.Price is riding Dakar? I know he is riding Baja are you confusing the two moto? BTW he just raced one of the Baja 250 races the series that culminates with the 1000 and he finished 4th. Guess who won?

Ollie wrote:ride fast enough that you dont fall offThe falling off is the part that slows you down and gets in your head  smooth and in control is the way uses a lot less energy. When waiting for your team mate relax have something to eat and drink, make sure you have a piss, when your racing you dont need to think about all the other stuff you gotta concentrate on being smooth. Enjoy it for what it is,remember your priorities as well, family friends income, your there to have fun and a challenge, your not racing for “sheep stations”
Ollie
Plus 1 and ride yourself into the race don’t force your pace

micknmeld wrote:The real story behind the helmet is as follows, It was the only gay helmet that fitted me well on the shelf at Mudntar, I shit what it look like, as long as it covers my melon, I don’t care, you cant see my head is the same as my arse so I could wear it either end really. I then said put it aside, and my wife picked it up because I am to tight to buy it or anything for that matter. That was the first time I wore it on the weekend, I didn’t worry about what TB said because I put on by myself like a big boy and did the strap up on my own. Even if it was the coolest helmet in the world, because it was mine, TB would have still said it was gay because I am gay!OK well written and so true I give up

This might get me kicked out of the A Team, but I like your helmet Mick. If we were to tally the votes you just may lose this TB.
BTW I don’t think Micks Wife selected it, she just paid for it for a Christmas present. Just to set the record straight and join in on the thread. 😆
