I am looking at one for the up and coming Birdsville / Simpson / Flinders / Hattah trip for my ipad mini so I can update the ride report at the night stops

    iPad mini??
You already have the original iPad, iPad2, iPad3 and the one they haven’t invented yet!
    And an iMac.
Be honest, you are a convert. Before you answer do you own an iPod

Thanks for your constructive feedback Aaron

STM I have a ipad mini now I only ever had a ipad 1. I have a mac for movies only and and iPhone for Internet on a ride. I am far from a full mac convert as I have just purchased a new windows based laptop for mapping see other post in new computer. I find if you put aside the I own one so they are the best they each work best at some things and am happy with what I have for certain applications. That said I like all the apple products I have but they were all purchased for a particular job

I like my mac for movies I now run iMovie and Final Cut Pro on it.My ipad mini for OBT i had an original ipad 1 before but purchased a mini so it can travel on the bike. But for mapping and I do more than anyone here you need a windows based unit, I have a new laptop for that. The software is better and I purchased them all before I went back to a windows based for mapping. For some reason the map program’s work better on a windows machine. If you not mapping to that level go a mac as mentioned IMO

Well I have made a movie. :woohoo:
Ended up using Cyberlink Power Direct
Bit of a learning curve and only have to put some tunes over it to finish it properly
My next challenge will be to make a short movie of only a couple of minutes and share it with you good people
    Cheers

Solid Rock by Gonna, and a song called Screaming Jets by Johnny Warmann is a all time classic for me. It went like

Last night, as I was dreaming
I saw, the sky was bleeding
    I heard the screaming jets
    ndum-dum-dum-da-dum

Last night, the world was crying
I heard, the children dying – chorus
    I heard the screaming jets
    ndum-dum-dum-da-dum

No more, no more – again
    No more, no more
    ndum-dum-dum-da-dum

    Last night, I was crying
I heard, the world was dying
There’s a ring around the sun
And it looks as the dawn of winter
Where it all begun – chorus

    I heard the screaming jets
No more, no more – again
    No more, no more
    nud-dum-dum-da-dum

I heard the screaming jets – again
I heard the screaming jets – again
    I heard the screaming jets
    ndum-dum-dum-da-dum

(when we die is the fate [x2])
    (is the fate)

Ama-jay (?) Ama-jay HA! [repeat to fade out]
