On the look out for a new team member.

As a result of flipping his bike at high speed Bob has a broken wrist and a bung knee (actual medical term) and can’t compete in the 12hr.

New member must be reasonably fast (Boony need not apply  ) and be willing to have shit hung on them and hang shit on others.

I should be able to find someone this weekend but thought I would see if any Old Bulls are keen first.

Let me confirm at home if thats ok (I am away) I would like that spot. I couldnt before and have had schedule changes this week. I am keen to roost a few team poof (north coast 250) riders
    If thats ok LC ?

    Nah too slow

At least replace me with someone fast :P :pinch:

  Ha ha I was faster before but with your broken wrist I am certainly faster :P

Bad luck about the wrist :pinch:

Ok, I’ll give them a call and see what they can do.
Failing that I’ll EBay up a storm for a pan.
Was looking at them for their Forma Adventure boots but I’m a bit reluctant to buy boots without trying them on first.
You mentioned you have a couple of their seats on different bikes, have you used the same seat covering texture and which one is it?

The forma boots are pretty good by all accounts. You can arrange to try them on at Adventure Moto if you can get there, give them a ring and organise it. Ace tried his on there recently as he has been busy kitting himself and the BMW out for his big adventure this weekend in Sydney at the Mardi Gras :P

Have used the swede one on Wolfmans WR rally was ok, like the carbon myself

    Thanks for the housekeeping STM.

TB, have had a look at the “Seat Concepts” however, they will need to use my seat pan correct?

Or can they supply a seat pan assy and fit their foam and cover to that?

What density foam are you using for your XR?

Was hoping to try and keep my original seat complete for resale purposes.

I got a pan of ebay mate. Still you can use yours and later just un staple it and refit your original. Speak with Steve or Janice maybe they can supply a base

Yes, try http://www.adventuremoto.com.au for a concept seat. They are awesome and ADV moto are a site supporter so they will look after you

I have one on the XR and one on the 530 I use and I am waiting on one for my Tenere so I can recommend them 100%

No, I love Mousses for trail riding and racing enduros, pony expresses etc not desert or safari unless you can change them every day or two. Mousses won’t handle high speed or hot conditions and will fail when used for extended periods in those conditions. Ultra heavy duty tubes (note not heavy duty) Bridgestone or Michelin only. I have been to the cape twice in two groups (10 bikes total) no flats with ultras. That’s my experience and my recommendation.

As far as changing them goes there are threads in tech help videos etc I think

    Hope that helps

Any word on Moose` situation ???
I know how close he is to the Hastings and had pictures in my head last night on what it could lok like at the moment :pinch:
I really hope all is ok there ,,,,

Remember to sign out if needed please guys (3hr driver is nothing when mates are involved and in need)

    Cheers ;)

Moose and Kathy copped a metre through their downstairs. A few old bulls and mini bike club members spent sunday helping them clean it out, washing everything, throw stuff out and pick up their stock (plants) and get sorted. They even had the fire brigade out there hosing stuff down. Well done to the silent helpers that just got in and got it done like true friends.

I`ve ridden MattVs CRF with the 280 kit in it and it mumbos along quite nicely. excellent low to mid range grunt which is good for the nundle singles. They just need suspension and they would be an alright bike out of the box. :pinch:

Are you saying that the WP suspension is better than the showa?

Yeah the only racing advice my ol man ever gave me was that and “when you get to a corner turn” legend ride coach :P

Sorry Kat, as your were :)
