Well 18 months on, my Shoei has done probably 50k now on my Tenere, and a growing list of Adventure X’s bikes. Well today I stripped it and gave it a close once over and washed the liner and cheek pads. Gave it a good clean checked the visor, lubed the pivots and cleaned the vents etc. Its been a great helmet I would recommend it to anybody that wants a decent ADV helmet. Doesn’t leak, minimum wind noise and is light. I always wear a head scarf so it doesn’t get sweaty and smell. I noticed after your comments Mickp you have gone back to wearing yours? Sunburn hasn’t been a problem either after your tip, I use sun cream.
Good vents

white rocket wrote:cool tb i don t use mine becuase i don t ride but that will change soon i hope reckon if i had a triumpth it would change sooner .so the yamaha is a goer now hayTiger is good for a change and I defiantly appreciate being able to use the bike and experience the differences between the bikes but it’s not a Tenere. The lower seat height of the Tiger is good in the creeks  , you can ride it sideways more than straight if you want to :woohoo: . It revs to next week, I mean 10,000rpm on a triple cylinder bike off-road is different at first but it will pull from 2500rpm. Sitting here looking at my foot in a moon boot I know how lucky I was to be riding that last weekend with a sore foot. Looking forward to a few days on a 800 BMW soon as a comparison. Lifes good

So I reckon it is decent
Now BITE ME !!!!
Lets get it clear here Eags that is my quote yes. To put it in its correct text the “disciplines” ChrisT wanted the bike for was single trail and the odd overnight ride. For that it was a great choice even more do helping a sponsor sell a good condition bike. If your quoting my text that’s how it fits the story. As an adventure bike they are shit, quote that  even more so if they need resting after a weekend cruise
Now lay off the burley and rest with your bike you sound like you need itTB
EAGLE`02 wrote:Nothing really, rode it to work, back home and parked up in the shed.
She deserves a rest after last weekend anyway :laugh:It got a good clean on Tuesday arvo, probably Air filter etc tomorrow
If you get a decent bike Eagle you won’t need to rest it

oldgirl wrote:Got the parts I ordered today.Small problem though. I ordered a new headlight but it didn’t come with the straps to attach it to the bike which means there is no where to put the indicators either. Don’t have the original ….yes important lesson keep the broken bits UNTIL you have the new parts.
Oh and TB I had to take the tank off again  the wiring plugs for speedo were under it. Used your trick and got it back on by myself though
No I’m not zip tying the headlight on either , don’t even suggest it!
There must be some sort of generic headlight bracket thingy????
Well done on the tank on and off
Let me scratch through my grave yard of bits and bobs and see what I have got. Don’t forget sing out if you need a hand
