D-Rally wrote:Thanks TB, I really want a spot connect but have read in a couple of places that it is fiddly to use and you have to constantly re connect your phone to it to use it? If its not to bad I’ll be on it.Yeah on another site I read the same bullshit (IMO) they whinge about anything there but (again IMO
When out west and where there is no phone range I sync it up, set it tracking and turn my phone off. In the arvo I turn the phone on, it auto syncs, I send a ok message and a custom one to the bride and turn it off. Its been a good thing with my iPhone, I did have troubles with it switching off at first but it was bar mounted and the vibrations seemed to upset it, I mount it on the top of my camelback strapTB
Either really, I have had both I currently have and use a spot connect. I use it in conjunction with my iPhone or iPod. I like the ability to be able to sent short custom messages as well as my pre programed messages. I can also monitor the tracking.
Spot2 is more simple yet restrictive in its operation

Wow good read Chicken, nice work. I run Motul 5100 have done for years and years. I have over 140k on 4 bikes on it and not a single problem. I see it rated well in your read. We have just torn my Tenere engine down with 50k and 850 plus hrs on it and as the thread showed it in great condition, I will continue to use it.
Thanks again for the info

Sorry mate didn’t read it properly rushed to tell you about the 220  the 62s is a cracker got the nav rides
TB
Reckon for your Tenere you should get a Garmin Zumo 220 from the same place James. On a big adventure bike its the go in my opinion, can be like a car GPS take you to a POI, or city or address. Also load a route suitable for the nav ride.
The 62s mention really doesnt do the car style nav
Also good price there on the Zumo 220
