No laughing matter stuck in a gully for about an hour thinking I was going to have to push the help ( not 000 but other help) button on my spot took an hour to get up! As steep as the tiger trail Jacko going in couldn’t stop other side worse never dropped it but did it pushing and riding multiple attempts and in small segments
TB
Sounds nasty , good job we had reliable local knowledge so we knew the Tiger Trail was possible !!
What bike were you on ?
Nick
New Tenere, stock besides a set of 606’s, pivots and barkys. On that the spring rates etc must have changed because while not awesome it is much better when ridden sensibly then ours were when new.

I sorted my pictures over Christmas bfbm I will post some I didn’t know your last one

Jeffro wrote:Is there a particular reason you are looking at the Rhino 650? I don’t know anything about them other than it is a GPS and uhf radio in one unit which accounts for the higher cost I suppose. Does it come with all the maps and software for making tracks and routes on your computer to then upload onto the device? If you are going purely on price then they look to be at the higher end of the scale. You can get a Garmin 62S for $445 at JA. I have the 60csx which is the earlier version and it is pretty easy to use and a good hardy unit.
No price isn’t the reason if you read my post you would see the rinho has the same GPS specs as the 62s the UHF will be a bonus for another project
62s are heaps cheaper than 445 as well mate if you look around. I am sitting in a little pub in perthville at the moment pre running with a 60csx and a 62s and the 60 is heaps easier and user friendly
More later.

Yeah the difference is amazing eh. I am going to Orange tomorrow now for a few days as my pop passed away the other day and have been lucky enough to be loaned a new Tenere for the ride. As much as I appreciate the use of a new bike standard suspension sux! It’s great your happy with it as it is a big financial commitment, sell it to the bride as a safety must do! was talking with Nick about your bike I think Blake pulled it and refitted Nick helped with the magic.
Will do the last bit of pre run tomorrow on the way up.TB

Funny you mention that about the Baja Nick, there is one on the front of my Tenere in your workshop and I love it. It was a second hand one to start with and has hardly worn. The side wall is awesome, thick feeling yet seems flexible. The bead folds back up over the rim to protect it. I’m sure I have spoken with Lefty about them. I reckon a group buy should be sort, I will take 2

My choice now days is Baja from T63 rear, Michelin all round

Cheers
