BradB wrote:Hi All,I’m looking to put a timing chain & piston kit in my 07 YZ450. Can anyone enlighten me on which is best, genuine, Woosner, Weisco ect?
Cheers Brad.
I would say from experience there is nothing wrong with any of the three you have listed. Price I guess would determine my choice. Price will probably rule out the genuine although you never know. As with any forged piston take the time to make sure it up to temperature before you get up it (should with any really but avoid prolonged idling) just ride away nice and easy, no load not reving is the go

Sounds good, what about some of those hills you guys rave about?

So after some mucking around I will debut a new (for me) bike on this ride, thanks to Tekniks for their upcoming help for me to make the ride on said bike

Boony do you know what is on what day, really
Bring these trails on snowy :woohoo:

Does it have a stock back wheel Yammyman? It looks smaller and fatter? I have fronts like I said and maybe a rear I will have to work out what I want to part with as far as rears go as I have broken a rear hub tearing the spokes out :pinch:
Best of with Tallon hubs and different rims because the rear wheel bearings dont last long on the standard hubs sprocket side especially when you start getting up in the power figures you are talking about. The tallon has two bearings sprocket side

got back to work and thought this bike must be heaps beter than stock rang up ENVY DYNO becuse there 2 blocks away from work went down there took 5mins and $80 the guy said 68hp is impressing i had no idear.
in need a front wheel for the bike if some one has one i can buy so i can get on the dirt with u guys
I can help you with a wheel I reckon, PM me your number and I will give you a ring. I am not doubting how it goes I know how they go but I reckon from experience with these things and I have more than most old mates dyno needs recalibrating  Especially when the most experienced bloke in Aus who built and developed the race ones said 62 reliable is it and 72 is a time bomb. The special he was building for the King of Nepean dirt track title was only going to be good for a 4 lap race at 72hp   Maybe its 68 and good as gold I hope it is, or maybe it’s a time bomb if it is actually 68hp. I know Nick couldnt get 72hp without a exhaust that only one guy in Aus has, I have a very close copy but it wouldnt cut the whole 72 Nick said
Either way more than happy to help you with a front wheel I have a few  And look forward to getting out for a rideTB
Bundyroy wrote:TB, what protects the screen from point load impacts (ie if you fall on a sharp rock). I guess they can’t put anything there other than those stick on films otherwise the touch screen part won’t work. The video shows it Roy, your right it doesnt cover the screen but they ran it over screen up at speed and it didnt mark the screen

It’s not ideal but I guess you could leave it on for protection while riding then take it off when you want to use it if it isn’t too much of a hassle. It would mean carrying an allen key with you everywhere, not ideal for a 100 dollar investment
TB
That’s what I said

It is just an option so you haven’t completely wasted your money.
And thats what I am saying  Look I am left with a bling case that when I go to Brisbane or Melbourne for work for a week and wont be leaving the city I may use it. But I will still need to carry an allen key with me for those times when you want to use in yit our motel room (Surrounded be concrete) maybe where it has only 3 bars normally and with the cover nothing! SO THATS LESS THAN IDEAL
Like I said I wrote so others are more informed before they make a purchase
Tactful eh :whistle:TB

moto wrote:I’ll try the GoPro mount I have on my helmet tonight mate and confirm one way or the other. It certainly looks the same.No idea with regard to quality when using the waterproof case, I would assume it’s the same, pretty pointless otherwise.
Thanks for all your answers
If it goes through another lense or cover the quality has to be reduced I can see when I watch the footage without the case and with the case on the TV at home there is a difference. You more than likely won’t see it on a YouTube video . I was just wondering had it been mentioned by the maker, I am just nervous because I got ripped by a manufacturer a few weeks ago because they didn’t tell the full story  and now I am stuck with the piece of shit. I guess if you never plan on runing the water proof cover then its no probelm

Thanks in advance re the Gopro mounts

I will do a post about the other thing soon

moto wrote:Trailboss wrote:Did I read somewhere the EGO isnt water proof?TB
It isn’t, only splashproof with the little plastic cover you get. They have a waterproof case like the GoPro one but it’s an extra and is supposed to be available at the end of this month.
It’s fine as is on the bike, but you can’t go surfing or diving with it.
Will you get one, the water proof cover? I only ask because if you have a drama in a creek crossing (I have before  ) and are wearing your camera it could be ruined. The camera will then shoot out through the case have they mentioned a quality drop because of that, I know that the hero 2 went to a glass lense for improved picture quality. I am interested in getting Lochie a camera for his mountain biking etc rather than him using my Go-pros because he will lose one shortly  this is the reason for my questions. I am a go pro user and like all the extras and kit with them I must say but these seem like a good enough cheap alternative.
Has anyone worked out yet if they fit a go pro mount?
thanks for your help as well
