Yes they have incorporated shrouds on that one. Was just a thought, not a lot local for them yet eh? I know building the APC WR’s getting stuff was a struggle at times with the tanks only being finished and delivered less than a week before they left.
Did you get the mapping tool with the bike Bob? I know the APC bikes were delivered with a very rich map and it sucked fuel like a $2 hooker! When it was changed leaner it would die sometimes when the throttle was chopped

As for the crap you have to sift through imagine our job sifting through your crapIts not the titles that are the problem its the ride lists and ride details
No different to sifting through every other thread on this Forum they are all full of “CRAP” in every second post
This looks like it could be funny   is linked to your banned thread Bob

Nick
Yeah I was there for the first question
I just thought as adventure tanks are normally a lot more expensive he should know that you had purchased a fuel tanker by comparison to what he is after

There will be a new thread started soon as the start location has been moved to Mt Victoria. The move has been to take in some new riding tracks instead of doing the same old same old. The new tracks are some I have used but most will be new to most and well and truly worth the move :woohoo:
A date has been worked and posted as well

That was for a 28 litre tank but   :pinch:
275 US I gather Bob? Whats postage worth? Steve’s WR in the APC has a Safari tank think its 14.5 litres local without postage. Maybe contact Safari and get a price

Yeah Scott I have heard from sources over the years about the CRFs use only genuine and had it drilled into me when I bought my XR from GHR (they use a new non-genuine filter every ride or did in 2008 at Finke) One of our own Old Bulls had a bit to do with the ADR and development of the Aussie CRF and I am sure he recommends only use the genuine air filter. Don’t know myself, good twin wall and good oil maybe I reckon still.

Nickj wrote:I recently bought the new funnel web air filter for my 2008 Crf250x. Initially it looked like a good thing , well made , good design etc. When I first fitted it I found it didn’t have a rubber lip that located around the air filter cage like the standard and although once installed on the bike it was in position I didn’t feel it was sealing to the air box very well.
Has anyone else had experience with these ?
Thanks in advance

Nick
I have been using a funnel web on Steve’s 530 and am impressed by the quality of the filter and the fit. 95% of air filters don’t have a rubber sealing lip I am struggling to think of the last bike I saw with one actually and I see a few through home and Steve’s workshop
Grease the sealing edge if you like doing that it will be fine. I have given up greasing the lips on my bikes and all of the adventure moto bikes I look after now. I have been watching the air tracts to the carby to see if it makes a difference and have seen a problem yet.
Good filter oil is the most important thing I reckonTB

Just organising one of the KTMs ( A broken KTM the shock oh the shock of it  ) to get to the KTM dealer tomorrow morning in Coffs (thanks STM for the directions) The break is Andrew’s ankle and his a bad one was the feedback from Steve I got second hand.
Amy said there was a fair bit more technical riding in there again today which is good, to qoute her “Great tracks great riding” Bikes are all fine I think their biggets drama of the day was Mick who is travelling with them until this evening I think lost his keys to his fuel cap
Spoke briefly with kat she sounded great and in good spirits

Old bull rr001 (Andrew Hollis) has binned his 690 and broke his leg. Steve was at the site when. Spike with him. Clubby was dealing with a flat rear. Steve and Clubby have picked up a ride partner that being Steve Turnley (steve donated the holiday we auctioned at the birthday ride) Steve and Andrew went on the ADV ride at the Birthday ride
The girls seem to be almost at their overnight stay at Bellingen
More soon I am sure
