With such a large group we will need a few simple things to happen to help it run smoothly and they are
I would ask people as soon as they get there or if you’re there helping on Friday after 4pm or at YOUR EARLIST CONVINENCE please come up to the admin area, near the BIG SILVER van under the big silver tarp. If you could pay your meal money, get your freebies, put on your stick on name tag so everybody knows who you are. The sooner you get that out of the way the sooner it frees up the Admin guys so they can enjoy their evening / weekend without chasing people up
The Saturday catered meal will begin serving at 5.30 at the Admin area under the tarp. The ride leaders are aiming to have you guys back in camp by 4.30 to give you plenty of time to have a beer and get changed
If you have a SD card etc from your helmet cam or camera from the days riding, you will be able to bring it to the admin area, we will load it onto a laptop and play it during the evening on the big screen. If you have a USB stick we can put it on there for you to free up your SD card for the next day’s riding if you want.
I will be loading the adventure ride loops on Friday night for those that want it on their GPSs. I will also be lacing up two wheels for Menace’s YZ basket case project if you wish to maybe learn or even teach me
There will be an announcement as to the possible location change for next year’s Birthday ride
Look forward to seeing you all there

Hey champ glad you posted about this, having spoke with you and knew what has been going on the last couple of weeks and what was being done I was going to talk to you about maybe help highlight this for one and all. Cheers for doing it, I need to do something as well and I have already booked myself in based upon your last three weeks of stress and worry. Was glad to hear this morning that last night was youre first decent nights sleep in a while

Just had word that due to the NSW marketing manager leaving Yamaha and the replacement not starting until a few weeks time they are unable to attend our weekend.
They have made a commitment to have a ride day for OBT in the future
Sorry

I will revisit this thread when the birthday ride is done but I will say someone has given
me so many funny memories it will take a while to put them together :laugh:Other than that there are a thousand including standing on top of Mt Pinnabar on the Tenere, Camerons, drowning the Ten in the Murray, standing on top of the widow maker the first and second times, standing on top of Big Red being one of the few that A took it on and B got up the hard option, the early Capertee weekends we did, watching the auctions, seeing people’s excitement at the rides, sharing bike builds, seeing people enjoy ride routes you have put together over months, being around like mined bike enthusiasts
More later I am sure

Still the best dirtbike website by far.
My only question that baffles me is who came up with the odd domain name?? It’s a PITA to remember and Google usually has to find it for me…. obttrailrider.com, obttrailrider.com.au, oldbulltrailrider.com ….ah blast it where’s google…!!!
http://www.oldbulls.com.au is still free!Crash and I had a race team in 2006 when we raced the A4DE, it was Old Bull Racing, it came from that

  Arr Thumper talk eh, haven’t been there for years. So many memories like getting a cash payment from the government to have a challenged person work for us, hence our first moderator was put on full time

Meeting Mick for the first time involved me pulling up at his house at 9am one Monday morning unloading the CRF450 and the XR650. He wheeled them into his shed and I left them there for a week while I went to Brisbane for work. Actaully met him for the first time just then and left 18+K worth of bikes with him! And if I had really known well
What about the first ride I ran a ride, only Crash and Chicken came and we rode together pre web site days. First time I met Moto I picked him and his bike up to go for a ride on the side of the F3 freeway
. First ride with Mick I filled him in in two puddles in the first 5 mins, Rider X was there and he was just shaking his head at Mick and calling him a dickhead and the was the first puddle, should have heard him after he set himself up for the same less than two minutes on   The list is endless :laugh:TB
Sold :woohoo:
Hi Tony, welcome to the mad house. CRF two fiddy eh and more important a HONDA!
Plenty of rides on all the time like Mick says. See you on the trails I am sure as I am based out of Blaxland and am planning on a heap more single track stuff this year as I train for next years big ride
