I got my new Fly the other day and wondering if I should treat the visor with RainX or Mr Sheen etc ????
Would like to do something before next weeks run to Sunny Corner and odds are high, no extremely high on getting fogged, misted and/or wet

What have you guys found works the best so far

Mr Sheen Eags for mind same same and easy to lay your hands on ;)

Sadly I must say I tried a Fly for a local ride last year, new loaned by someone interested in selling them. On the way out of Sydney more rain ran down the inside of the visor than outside  Hope it was just a poor fit on that one

I should do my visor now you have reminded me

Update after a few phone calls and help from a friend

We have two APC Rally entries to sell / auction give away. One was donated by John Hudson to owner / organiser of the APC Rally franchise and the other by Steve from Adventure Moto. Steve actually purchased his at the Scrapheap challenge, he has donated it to us the champion.

    Each entry is worth $1200

I would like to thanks John (Homer) Hudson for getting involved with Old Bulls and donating an entry. I did some work with John earlier this year and he adopted most of the route I put together for the APC 4 day NSW High Country ride. Cheers John

Most of the tyres out now are made with a synthetic rubber compound and more than likely come from Brazil, Indonesia and or China (dont believe me,go check it out) the MXRetreads use the highest quality natural rubber and made right here in Australia by a perfectionist (Mark Bearman)

So TB Have you Mothballed the 650 ? seems you are riding the Kato more than ever

I reckon the MXretreads go great on that stuff at Sunny Corner and guaranteed not to throw knobs ! but I dont want to get in a tyre bashing debate. The MX51 Geomax also go alright I reckon.

Nah Ollie it will be there also it’s in project mode ;) I think Spuds taking it for a ride up at Sunny corner and I will ride it on the Sunday B)

Yeah we don’t want a tyre bash thread, but I leave you with this thought. For a tyre to throw a knob the knob has to get traction hasnt it? Think about it. I agree a MXretread won’t chuck a knob

if your not sposed to spin up the back wheel why bother riding just my theory .buy tyres that can handle it and don t give a f%&k and have fun .so does this mean it will be safe to ride behind you TB(i dout it bet you go back to your old fun ways )

No way Rocket there is no way I am going back to my old ways, no I will be a new me in the carpark

There is s difference between spinning it up and just sliding it and when it spins keeping it sideways and spinning for the hell of it isnt there   :woohoo: The 530 doesnt have the topend of the 650 but, the 530 has more bottom end snap but the 650 will brain it up top. Look its all something I am learning maybe, dont try dont know do you

Damn LC . That is an intermediate terrain tyre isnt it? Lucky it wasnt a soft terrain tyre. Then again if you dont spin the wheel up you wont tear the knobs apparently!

 Ok Galey I get it you dont see it or are willing to be open to it  Lets see I will run a brand new Geomax 31 on the birthday ride its a soft terrian tyre, its rated for mud/ soft, I will have it on the back of the 530 and will be under the pump to preform on your ride so only time will tell

BTW it isnt my theory its something I have heard from people smarter and better riders than me which isnt hard :P
