Hi there, Can anyone help me with an adventure set up for my wr 450. I heard there is someone out there that makes a bash plate/ oil tank to decrease oil changes. Also if anyone knows where to get a cush drive hub for the rear wheel. Is there a one stop shop in Aus. don’t like the idea of spending over seas.

    Cheers

Walshy check this post out Crowey seems to know WR450s has build a cracker, one of the best prepared and thought out I have seen for a while and its faster than most it seems  . He seems helpful, passes on information doesnt blow his trumpet just seems a nice guy :)

As for the bash plate B&B do the oil reservoir Bash Plate 1.7 litre

And as for the one stop shop Steve at Adventure Moto is your man, I am helping build his WR450F APC rally weapon at the moment. Steve can get anything you need. PM and I will give you Steve’s mobile number. He is a site supporter and you get looked after :)

So with the new plans, is there any idea of the start point for the Adv ride to the campsite TB ??? Looks as though we may have to see what numbers there are and set a meet point & time closer to the day ;)

Eagle the plan for Saturday’s adventure ride is for the ride to start from the camp site at 9am. Lunch at Capertee Pub and then a different route back to the camp site. Sunday the adventure peeps will have the option of a shorter route or they can start home depending on their hangover.

Eagle you need to go as you are leading the Saturday ride remember?

Hey Unit check if the new sprocket is thinner than the old one in its cross section. If it is get the correct sprocket and if it was me I would replace the seal, o ring and washer as its been in there a long time, its an easy job and offers piece of mind. If the sprocket is the correct thickness then I would replace the washer (because its lost its ability to hold tension against the sprocket) seal and o ring again because its been in there a long time and piece of mind. Always locite the sprocket bolt as well

Oh always check the breather as well, if its blocked crankcase pressure will build and something will leak ;)

You get yourself and your gear to the camp site this year

This years Birthday ride weekend is different to previous years in that everyone will drive themselves to the camp. You can bring whatever you need and want. The closest servo is about 8kms away so it’s easier to bring everything. At this stage it looks as though dinner will be catered but more on that later

Chris, Mal and I to name a few will be getting there on Friday at sometime, the exact location and a map will be posted soon

Please keep reading the first post

    WTF

I must have a nack of starting some sort of crazy shit

I thought we were going camping and riding motorbikes
know it looks like we r going to someones f@#$%^&* wedding and we have to pay a covercharge to get in to the bloody thing
do we have to wear a tie

and the comedic entertainment has blown out to some ……… bloke in a spider kini

it must be the adv rider input or something i don’t know

    I’ll start again

    I’m looking for a spit or 2 I’ll supply the lamb/s

    I’m going camping and riding

and if someone wants to let me ride there new efi wr that would be good

if all else fails Mal we will use yours get blind and watch these crazy people at the Bromance wedding apparently at the same spot (if i could be bothered to find that photo of a famous bromance i would ….but i can’t)

??? Chris and I thought it would be a good thing to have the main dinner catered for mate. The dinner cover charge would cover as listed below

    catering.png

Chris’s thoughts were to free everybody up from cooking and rooting around. It helps us get the evenings auctions under way knowing everybodies eaten, beats stuffing around after a full days riding doesnt it
