He sounded ok really for a bloke that’s been swinging off bike for 14 plus hours ;) Balls of steel exactly ECKS ;) I cant credit it that far and to have that happen at the that point!! He said he will check the bike out in the morning and work it out then. It’s an incredible effort

The original longest day started just south of Coffs Harbour actually from memory. The cross Australia starts at Byron. The idea with the longest day now is I believe you ride the longest day, furtherest you can to Camerons. People start in VIC, QLD all over it’s an individuals own effort now.

Run the biggest front you can you will get longer chain and sprocket life. As LC said but going to a14:51 from the 13:50 would make a fair difference. I am pretty sure Sutto’s change the gearing when they assemble the bike and do the pre delivery ( thats why they have the box of ADR sprockets at the front counter for adv bikes  ) Put some miles on that and check it maybe it will suit you then when they are worn out get the same size but better quality chain and sprockets. As for tyres like the king and LC said they are the popular brands and with the relationship you have with Sutto’s already and being an Old Bull Scotty will more than look after you and they will fit them for you as well

    Have fun
