There different Jeffro. Thing with the rubber is the glue will only really be for assembly. once its packed in the tight it shouldn’t matter, meaning there shouldn’t be that much movement to let it move if you catch my drift

    Time will tell

I got up at 4am in the morning as we had an intruder in the house, I crept thru the house to front him and jumped around the corner yelling into the kitchen in the dark to be confronted by an excited 5 year old ready for his first day at school

Mick may have the article, he sent me a copy Salina has it somewhere I will see if I can find and scan it. Naturally being in the media he tells the story heaps better :P

Here is an insight into the Tenere cush drive, the wear and the problem as I see it

Yes Eagle I didn’t was the bike

I fitted my last set of new, I am worried that the inner tube will create a bigger gap between the two hubs thus letting more dirt in to accelerate the wear. The bulk of the people that are doing the mod on XT660.com are motard riders and soft off roaders from what I can tell. I am going to modify the rubbers as I explained in the last video to stop them twisting on the small nipples, the rubber will be no wider than the nipples are new but have more surface area

Oh and Eags I washed the bike after I finished

Further to the recent turn of events that lead to this thread being posted.

    FOR SALE
1 x 5 pin relay, used once.

And being that it is sharp Mick that has it for sale it will be slightly more expensive then when he bought not because he likes to make a profit but because the relay has experience ;) can’t put a price on experience people :P

Umm wonder how it lasts  there are some mods needed to fit it eh! I am going to pop the head off mine later on and get it flowed (job for Lefty ;) ) reckon that will pick it up enough and keep it reliable and good fuel economy

    Interesting find TT

I have cut the pieces and have taken a heap of pics of all the sets and why and how they wear Matt but after a closer inspection I reckon the mod can be improved even more. I will be fitting the rubber pieces tomorrow actually and will take some pics. The 2nd stage mod I will also take pics of as I make them, this mod will do for now. I have been through 7 sets of rubbers now and reckon I have some experience with why they wear  and can improve on this, time will tell but.

The set in the bike now have done 4600kms and are the worst set I have had in for vibration etc.

Will take the rest of the pics tomorrow

Just a bump for the tuff jugg and the supporting charity The Black Dog Institute. If you can make the time here is an interesting thread from ADV and shows we aren’t all wired the same

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=478595

I had a great friend who suffered from it, he dealt with it and beat it daily which I thought was very inspiring. I wonder at times if we all do but our respective make ups help us handle it differently. If you go to the Black Dog Institute @ http://www.blackdoginstitute.org.au/ and spend the time reading you will learn how big the problem is in men and men in our age group. It has really opened my eyes

bring on the Amber Inn and it generosity towards the tuff Jug, TB will kick arse this year,, I showed him how to do it last year so he will excell this time.

Thanks Boony, wouldnt mind your help again this time mate
