Well after doing nearly 2000 kms with the new helmet I am stoked. It is very quiet, so quiet in fact Nick can hear the difference (or can’t hear  ) through / over the bluetooth. It’s is so light and makes a difference over 8 hours of riding, it’s great.
The vents work, they are not just there for looks you can feel the difference. It has 6 vents, more than the cheaper Shoei copy Arai. It also has the 5mm first click visor opening that works so well Arai use it also, thanks Nick for showing me that.
It doesn’t leak in the rain and doesn’t fog like my cheaper helmets. Would I now pay full RRP for it knowing what its like, hell yeah

I tried a THH / FLY, it leaked was uncomfortable and was heavy, I have owned a Zeus and a RJays there aren’t many left to try. I am convinced that the cheaper helmets are just that for a reason, quality. Standards maybe the same and meet by the cheaper ones but the difference is in the above comments.
Bottom line is it’s my opinion, but I have owned or tested all but one of the major players and paid for each except the FLY / THH

If Mickp still has his that he doesn’t like buy it from him quick smart I reckon

Go the dr650 it will cover all bases, look at TB and Mick, they seem to have a lot of fun on the trails with the XR’s, cant imagine the DR will be any different but it will serve you well on the road as well, ADV or commute.
My 2 cents worth of poo

DR650 Bender, will suit what you do better then a DR400. You don’t do any serious single trail from what I have seen, the 650 has longer service intervals, is cheaper to buy and better on the bitumen which I think you do a little off? Also is oil cooled if the water cooling worries you (which it really shouldn’t IMO)

Sunday check the site, a project that may interest you will be revealed here on OBT

Lighting Ridge Accommodation for Saturday the 8th of Oct

Accommodation in Lighting Ridge will be the Chasing Opal Holiday Park, they have cabins and we have stayed there before. It is in a safe part of town close to all the resources we need and will use saturday arvo. They have plenty of vacancies at this stage and it is up to you to get yourself organised and booked. You can do it anyway you want, your riding partner, a group whatever you want. It would be best if we all stayed in the one place as we know what happens when we don’t and waste time looking for others.

I have booked a 4 berth for Nick, Moose, Dee Jay and myself. Like I said at this stage there are heaps of vacancies and mention you are from the Old Bull group.

Ok I am testing there service now myself. I have obtained a new spot tracker 3 and am asking can someone’s existing account and credit be transferred from old spot to a new spot if you catch my drift.

I have just send the email so the clock is ticking

Ok got my reply day before yesterday that makes it 5 days, but two of those were weekend days. It was what I would consider a non urgent question so I got a reply in 3 working days. I have sat and thought about 3 days response, given that I contacted their head office so it would be world wide. Maybe it’s not all bad, and maybe it’s not that good  I am happy
