All in a days work, from John

It is full on from about 5-30 am till 8-00 am then it setttles down to about 5 calls per hour. Then it heats up at about 6-0o pm to 9-00 pm.
    Today in summary.
    1. medivac 20 km west of dennilquin
    2. 3 occasions where riders have been seperated from mates . They call me and I look at the spot trackers and tell them where they are.
    3. Parts getting flown into two locations to keep riders going.
4.Track diversion put in place at a section after Dennilquin due to rain.
    5. Marcelle my mechanic has done two phone consulstation on fixing stuff. On one of these the rider used there camera phone so marcelle could help diagnose the problem.
    6. Diverted one rider with less experience around a difficult section, we had already nutted out a system where he would call me if he found one section hard so we could benchmakr his ability.

With all this said it is the other riders on the course that are helping riders make it to the end of each day.

I had read that at ADV as well, I thought there was no assistance from the organisers in the sup regs? It’s bloody good he is though

Should be mentioned Beags that ol mate tossed the big KTM down the bitumen road under the front of a car not the car drivers fault (probably where all katos should be   nah sorry ) It sounds like he was very lucky and it’s not good seeing anyones bike damaged

Johns doing a good job of keeping people updated and helping them get parts etc I reckons massive job.

It will all be the same TT it’s only the damper that’s different, smaller as such and you can use the standard thinner gauge bars. Just back sure you drill the holes dead set in the middle, start small and setup. If you can start with a small drill bit, be sure you drill at the same Y and X axis as the anti tamper bolts. When you get up a couple of drill sizes use a left hand drill bit as if it bites it will undo the bolts. I prefer ezi outs but to be honest.

Look forward to seeing how you go

Sitting here at the airport in Indianapolas, have three hops home. Here to Dallas, Dallas to LA and the best part Business class home for the big leg. Yeah scored an upgrade from cattle to business ( thanks to a legend

Had some trouble getting through security cause I have my piston, rod and crank kit in my cabin bag  ol mate with the blue gloves started coming towards me I shat myself. Had to pull it all apart and strip all the kits to make sure it couldn’t be put together on the plane and made into a gun :P

Will have to go through that again at Dallas and LA possibly :pinch:

I have a heap of the guys spots loaded into my favorites and have been watching with interest since it started. John the ograniser claimed that there was less than 400 kms bitumen in the 7000 route.

Ted buys a harley. The salesmen tells him, “whenever it’s gonna rain, rub Vaseline on the chrome so it won’t rust.” And he hands Ted a jar of Vaseline. That night, his girlfriend takes him to meet her parents. So they take the bike. But just before they go in, She says: “I have to tell you When we eat, we don’t talk. In fact, the first person who says anything during dinner has to do the dishes.” “Okay”, he says. They sit down and no one says a word. As dinner goes on, Ted decides to test the situation. So he reaches over and grabs her boob. Nobody says a word. So he stands up, rips her clothes off, and screws her right there, in front of her parents. But no one says a word. So he grabs the Mum, bends her over the table and nails her, then sits down But still, Total silence. All of a sudden there is a loud clap of thunder, and it starts to rain. Ted remembers his bike, so he pulls the jar of Vaseline from his pocket… Suddenly the father shouts: “I’ll DO the FUCKIN’ dishes!”

That make me laugh out loud in the middle of the conference :P
