I like everybody has Ollie, Australia isnt a big enough market for a whole model development.

OllieWell that’s one of the places the WR excels against the DR and the biggest down fall of the DR is its 5 speed gearbox against the WRs 6 speed. Everyone with a DR400 always talks about a 6th gear. We did 800kms of bitumen in June in one day at 115kph (GPS) speed with a 660, 640 and a 1200. Biggest down fall was the lack of wind protection with only a screen, it would be the same for the DR. All that said the DR is a great bike, a good all rounder, I just think from experience as I have done fair distances on both the WR is a better, much more fun bike. I am looking forward to having Chop’s DR at the shed for some work soon and can do some real comparative testing. I could be wrong

If only the WR came out in a 450?650Ollie
It should Ollie but doesn’t I have ridden both and the WR is better then the 400 and would happily compare them. Actually I will have Chops project DR400 up the shed soon so we can. The 650 is a while different story
If only for the 450R yeah how good would it be

WR250R, go anywhere do anything the big bigs do. Sorry Boll but better than a DR, lighter, fuel injected, handle better, better suspension and a better trail bike if that’s what you want. We have over 50k on them now at RideADV without a single problem and they have been hire bikes as well. Only parts other than services fitted have been chain slider and a few front sprockets

They do wear if they are the softer OEM alloy type Murph. I reckon a 2nd one wouldnt hurt for what you do with that 500 mate. You would get a lot of slip and sudden grip with your riding. Careful you dont over tighten as well because they split

Sorry guys we dropped the ball, I was away in the desert as such and wasn’t aware there was a problem I thought it was my IPhone connection   . Chris was busy and if it wasn’t for STM and Jacko we wouldn’t have known.
There was a plug-in with the forum that caused the shut down. Chris is going to do a major update starting next week, so watch for that over the next 3 weeks. We are going to move some of the moderators jobs around and STM will be running the big birthday ride in November so exciting times coming up.TB
So Benny is the videos something you make money out of? You didn’t answer Axel’s question?
