badbowie wrote:Ok firstly this is not a piss take and I’m being serious, If the mods feel the attached photo is not appropriate please feel free to delete it. With everyone carrying so much gear in there bumbags including me be real careful how you position tools inside your bumbag that are near your body.
Below is a photo after I had been over the bars and landed on my back the force of hitting the ground broke my neckbrace and I honestly thought I had done severe damage to my back. As the bruise developed you could clearly see the outline of the spanners I was carrying in my bumbag in the bruise. That was a fox bumbag that has the tool part up against your body. Now when I pack my kelly bumbag I give myself a bit of padding between the tools and my body.Good post Scott cheers I hear what you are saying but carrying the same in your backpack or wearing at the front all have chances of hurting you for sure.
The kellys are the ducks guts and I have to get one. That crash you had sounds like a cracker and in reality you could have landed on a rock and done the same or worse given it broke a Leatt as well!!!
I have padding at the front of my highly tuned body for crash protection so I wear it at the front but am mindful of what you are saying for sure
I reckon for every one time I open my bumbag for me I use it 5 times for others which is fine the thread is here to help and get useful input like yours Scott and everybody elses

Ummmmmmmm, I do believe that it was you TB, that actually strapped that fender bag to my bike from memory.

Like Eagle said, you wont lose a fender bag if you zip tie it to your bike through the loop in the zipper.
True I did, the angry face was for you and your blank look as you knew it fell of and what track
Interesting out of the whole thread thats all you got out of it eh?
Back on trackAnyways Mick some photos of your new bumbag would be good as you have the Rolls Royce of Bumbags I reckon being a Kelly bag, how about it?

I watched a video once at Mal5.1s I think David Knight in a 12 hr or the likes race and a guy pushed him for ages and ages on a trials bike. It had plenty of transports and hardly any real Murphsberg stuff if any at all which is why I wondered why he rode it but ride the wheels off it he did just got to stand up
TB
Take your trials bike BB that would kill it on a Murphsberg
