Tried that Ollie with up to 3 nuts etc. Bent the spanner tightening the nuts even and the thing still turned  . I will weld the nuts and spin them on the lathe at work

I will make 6 of them this week for you guys. Cost you a stubbie of strongbow cider each. Will deliver them to Breckenridge of Friday.
A single cider no moreTB

Damage may have already been done? Was the bearing split like mine?

TB a peace of the bearing ” sprag side ” found at the bottom of the motor under the clutch . Yes I think the gear was at the point of failure at the time I replaced the selector bearing. CHOOT.
No good mate, can you PM me your number as I would like to chat about this as I have a friend with an ear that maybe interested in some information about your bike

Hey Boony,
No worries mate but FYI the forecast on BOM and weatherzone is for 28 and 26 degrees, and its always a couple of degrees cooler in the forest as we are riding through alot of rainforest area. There is a low chance of rain on the Sunday so hopefully that should equal some cloud cover at the least. I generally dont trust the forecast until a couple of days out anyway.
If we do end up with hot days we will look at moving the leave time forward to 7 AM maybe.
Yeah I have been watching the weather for our weekend a little further up the coast and its going to be a cracker weekend for riding weather wise

You look after the drive line then  As for the dropping it

Mine is now 3000 shy of the suggested 30000 check up on this issue, and it sure looks like it may be an idea to have it seen too as I wont be getting a new one anytime soon.
Is there anything else that would need checking at that interval as I had better start to save my pennies for the inevitable :pinch:
Cheers james
Inevitable  I am not sure James. There are more of them around world wide that have more miles with no failure that those that have failed. My black one was ridden hard, I don’t know about Choots.
The big difference between your gearbox and drive line and my black one for example is you get triple the chain and sprocket life I do. You also get double the tyre life at least, meaning your drive line. gearbox etc is not under anywhere near the stress mine was. You don’t jump water bars (most I have notched are in 3 rd gear) which shocks the drive line.
Get the bearing done, I will help you with that. Its cheap and be reassured yours will last until you rebuild the engine in the 80’s the way you look after itIMO with these bikes

Nah I wish, 3 bikes to prep for next weekend
